TRUMP LATEST: Trump's COVID-19 results miserable compared to Xo in China

Nation's quote:  "China under Xi has suppressed the latest coronavirus at the human cost of three lives per million population, the United States under Trump is still struggling to overpower it, having already sacrificed 145 of every million Americans"...

Those are overpowering figures when you consider that Donald Trump is nowhere near getting a handle on coronavirus in this country. And what is even worse is that this idiot will not face up to the fact of how incompetent he is, leading the U.S. into more instability and peril on a daily basis. To emphasize the delay, here's a timeline...

"George Gao, director of the Chinese Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CCDC), spoke with his American counterpart, Robert Redfield, on January 3, alerting him to the arrival of an as-yet-unidentified, pneumonia-inducing virus in the city of Wuhan (news of which the Chinese government would for crucial days withhold domestically). Redfield then briefed Secretary of Health and Human Services Alex Azar on that conversation."

In China, Wuhan was identified as the source of the outbreak and...

"On January 3, the NHC centralized all testing related to the mysterious disease and, two days later, in conjunction with experts in infectious diseases caused by pathogens that jump from animals to humans, completed the sequencing of the genome of the virus."

Trump lies, lies, lies on COVID-19...PATHETIC!... 

This information was made available worldwide on January 7, and on January 14, WHO made a somewhat vague announcement to the world on this threat. China's national health Commission confirmed human to human transmission on January 19, with the U.S. moving slowly, mostly observing. On January 24, a complete lockdown of Wuhan was ordered of 760 million people. President Xi worked with WHO, keeping them posted regularly on what he was doing.

In the meantime, Donald Trump was just beginning to drag his feet, setting up a task force...

"led by Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar to monitor, contain, and mitigate the spread of the coronavirus while also keeping Americans informed on the matter."

 Centers for Disease Control Prevention’s Robert Redfield had also been at work preparing for the disease in the U.S. when the...

"World Health Organization declared the outbreak a “global health emergency.” On February 11, it labeled the disease caused by the latest coronavirus, which can culminate in death-inducing pneumonia, Covid-19."

It was right at this time that the Oval Office lunatic tweeted his first reaction to dangers of COVID-19 when the first lab-confirmed coronavirus case was reported in Olympia, Washington...

“It’s one person coming in from China and we have it under control. It’s going to be just fine.”

It wasn't "just fine" and as the threat continued to grow, T-rump called it a hoax, then blamed the whole thing on the Democrats, As it spread around the world, Trump placed Mike Pence in charge of response to the virus, and with his incompetence noted, put his moron son in law in charge, where, since then the handling of everything has deteriorated. While the rest of the world gears up for aggressive testing, Trump promises 2% of the U.S. population, grossly lacking.

With the threat of a full-blown pandemic, "all Trump did was ban the arrival of non-US citizens who had recently traveled to China. From then on, he repeatedly touted this as evidence that he had acted early." In the face of clear data this could turn into a worldwide pandemic from his own people, Trump tweeted...

“The coronavirus is very much under control in the USA,”

And yet more disinformation from Donald Trump COVID-19 under control...

He began tweeting that the U.S. would soon have a coronavirus vaccine, which was altogether false and, even today, it is thought to be at least a year before a safe vaccine can be ready for market. It was soon after around mid-March when the White House maniac finally came to his senses, and at about this time Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases since 1984, came on the scene.

Since then it has been a tumultuous battle between the counterfeit doctor and scientist sitting in the White House and the expert from the CDC, who tries his best to balance the stupidity of Donald Trump with the truth from his office. The big question is...who will win the war, not just the battle?

Trump has never done anything I know of where he should be congratulated. Therefore, it seems both unbelievable and bizarre he could come up with 600 pats on the back...

Here is DAILY BEASTS headline: "Trump Has Congratulated Himself 600 Times During Coronavirus Briefings, Says Report." The New York times analyzed all Trump's press briefings to get this number concluding, “The level of self-congratulations that occurs every day at these press conferences is unprecedented.”
And it would seem that Moscow Mitch McConnell has taken up Donald Trump's mantle exhibiting his brand of ignorance and idiocy. According to the Washington Post has basically told U.S. states to drop dead by refusing them aid and saying you are pretty much on your own. Although he has moderately backed off this position, it is a clear sign of this slimeball's disdain for American citizens, and his aversion to our democracy.

With the current press of the public to reopen the U.S. economy amid over 1 million cases of COVID-19 in this country, growing on a daily basis, 30,000+ since yesterday, and almost 60,000 deaths, there is reason to pause and reflect on this move. Here is a statement from an expert: "Infectious disease expert Michael Osterholm warned that the states starting to reopen amid the coronavirus pandemic 'will pay a big price later on.'” There's more...

Donald Trump's latest approval rating on the handling of the U.S. coronavirus pandemic hits the bottom of the barrel...

To be specific, it is down 22 points and I would give anything to have seen his face the first time he saw that number. In other words, what he thinks is his beautiful, wonderful handling of the COVID-19 crisis is really for shit. Here's the analysis from Newsweek...

"As a result, the net approval for Trump's performance, which is determined by deducting the share of those who disapprove from the share who do approve, sat 8 percentage points "underwater," Morning Consult said in a breakdown of its findings.

As an example of the confusion the Oval Office lunatic has caused, his suggestion "that injecting patients who test positive for coronavirus with disinfectant could be helpful...the U.S. saw a spike in calls made to poison control centers in at least four states." It is hard to believe anyone would have confidence in a stupid recommendation like this but, then, we are talking about double-digit Trump supporters.

And then we come full present to today's plan from T-rump, one in which he has arranged for 2% of each state to now be tested--folks this is 4 months after he knew of the problem--and "Ashish Jha, director of the Harvard Global Health Institute, said that number is nowhere close to adequate," according to Jake Johnson of Common Dreams. Completely inadequate...

“It’s about 6 to 7 million [tests],” said Jha, “and if that’s one-time, that doesn’t do anything.”

"The blueprint (pdf) is organized into an eight-part strategy that largely leaves states responsible for carrying out a massive expansion of testing, even as governors say they lack the equipment and capacity to ramp up screenings to the level that experts say is necessary."

Trump says his role is to "enable innovation," something this White House is completely incapable of.  

A Very Stable Genius Trump...NOT

Coming from Washington Post writers, Philip Rucker and Carol Leonnig, "A Very Stable Genius" is the continuing brilliance of those on the inside to portray a mentally challenged Donald Trump...

I am two-thirds way through "A Very Stable Genius" and am amazed at the way these two reporters have organized the information on Donald Trump to the extent you actually feel you are in the room where it is happening. It is hard to select something to quote but in consideration of Trump's totalitarian governing approach, there was a part in the book where he gives kudos to Tayyip Erdogan, Turkey's president.

A senior aide describes the two's speakerphone conversations as "un-fucking-believable, like hearing Hitler at a Nuremberg rally." Says Erdogan's voice was chilling, like Satan's, but Trump has long admired the man for his ruthless rule in Turkey and the ease with which he dispatched political rivals. This is unadulterated mental sickness at its worst, when you are talking about the person who rules the freest country in the world.

Jennifer Rubin's Washington Post opinion piece recently headlined, "‘Stable genius’ or dangerous ignoramus?" is a good question but one that has been answered repeatedly over the last few months, with each time Donald Trump opens his mouth. She quotes from one of his recent press conferences...

“And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out, in a minute. Is there a way we can do something like that? By injection, inside, or almost a cleaning, because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs. So it would be interesting to check that. You’re going to have to use medical doctors, right? But it sounds interesting to me.”

This is the leader of the world's most advanced nation in such a confused state that what he is recommending could immediately kill thousands of people if they took his advice. But it was right after this at a later press conference where the disinfectant thing was brutally criticized, Donald Trump actually showed signs of doubt, both in what he was saying and also from the harsh criticism he received. He quietly left the room without taking questions.

I'm only a puttering psychologist, but are we seeing the first breaking point in the Trump facade, the latest of many that have come down the line, and are sure to eventually push Trump over the edge. A tragic way to have to get rid of a president but the only way when you have the head of the U.S. Senate, lowlife Moscow Mitch McConnell, constantly propping him up. Cody Fenwick, writing in AlterNet said...

The writer believes the Oval Office lunatic has contrived this reality show in his head, much like his former show, "The Apprentice," where he interviewed and fired people. In today's show, here's how Fenwick sees it...

"He likely doesn’t have the ability to coordinate all the relevant actors, tap into the expertise of the administration, and craft a long-term strategy for fighting the pandemic and saving as much of the economy as possible. But regardless of whether he could do what is needed, it’s clear that he’s not interested in this hard work."

Trump just cannot shed the carnival barker personality that so often shows him for the idiot he is. Like this...

Why is there is no dog in the White House?

Presidential dogs go all the way back to the beginning...George Washington...

Should there be a doggy in the White House? NO

Washington had seven dogs, one was named Drunkard. Trump has no dog. Abraham Lincoln had eight, one named Fido, who was assassinated by a drunk with a knife a couple months after Lincoln was killed. Trump is dogless. Teddy Roosevelt had twenty-four, which probably led to a rowdy White House, but that's the way he liked it. Still, Donald Trump has no dog. Barack Obama had his Bo, and even Richard Nixon had a dog, four in all. But not T-rump.

And that, folks, is what is wrong with the current White House, in addition, of course, to the fact its head occupant is a raving maniac doing what he has been doing since he entered that historic monument, tearing this country apart, piece by piece. But, would a dog do him any good? If you are a real animal lover, you have your pet because you want to give it loving care and a forever home. Our cats are treated as if they are our children, which they really are.

But an animal of any kind in Donald Trump's company is like...throwing it to the lions. Yes, a dog in this White House would, due to perpetual strife, be peeing and pooping from the Lincoln bedroom to the Oval Office to Trump's private quarters. A cat, on its first day. would observe the White House maniac in action, spray on the imperial desk, then find a place to hide. Animals know what's going on, and they know a phony the minute they spot it. Donald Trump.

A year ago but still appropriate on McConnell's destruction of the Senate...

It is obvious how far this Grand Old Party has gone to shore up its power and what it will do to get it and keep it. It is why Progressives find Republicans so disgusting. And there is yet one more idiot Congressman from Indiana, Trey Hollingsworth, who made the comment...

“it is always the American government’s position to say, in the choice between the loss of our way of life as Americans and the loss of life, of American lives, we have to always choose the latter.”

But this blockhead took it even further with this comment...

And this is the kind of Republican that is running this country today, and a primary reason the White House maniac can get away with what he does. But the latest play of Moscow Mitch is his latest position re. the plight of U.S. states during the COVID-19 pandemic. His attitude is there will be no more federal aid and as far as he is concerned, they can just go bankrupt. Since the Democrats in Congress are all wimps, there is no choice but to dump them with the GOP.
