Did George Orwell predict Donald Trump in 1984?

Donald Trump-George Orwell
I am an ardent fan of George Orwell's work including, Animal Farm and 1984. Animal Farm is political satire at its best, depicting the unrest of the animals at the Manor farm because they are treated poorly. Mr. Jones, the farmer, was a mean and drunken man who exploited them, leading to a rebellion by the animals that eventually gets out of hand. It's a short read that will illustrate the kind of uprising that is imminent when people, or animals, are unhappy with their situation. Or their government. It's an issue I'll cover later using the book to draw similarities with the U.S.

But 1984 offers a multitude of possibilities for comparison with the new Donald Trump admin., even as it completes just over a month of tenure. The timing only emphasizes the number of conspiracy theories Donald John has been able to concoct in such a short amount of time. They are numerous and at times so bizarre that they defy the reality that the man that has just been elected to the presidency of the United States is the one who spawned them. It is more likely that we would expect such disjointed discourse from Jack Nicholson in One flew Over the cuckoo's Nest. Examples...
  1. Trump's phones in Trump Tower were tapped
  2. Said there was Rampant voter fraud in 2016
  3. Anti-Trump protesters are paid
  4. Obama is coordinating the [Trump] protests
  5. There were 1.5 million people who attended his inauguration

In none of these cases has Donald John come up with any corroboration for the statements he made, with the most blatant number five. This was where Trump cried to the heavens how much larger his inauguration crowd was than Barack Obama's in 2008, when independent photos proved him wrong. But the freakish behavior of Donald Trump isn't the basis for this post, rather just some background and sidebars to explain the aberrant nature of the man who has risen from mediocrity to the President of the most powerful nation n the world. And how Orwell's 1984 has its parallels.

This isn't the first post or article on this issue, there have been several, but, notably, believe mine is the first to use the Orwell Today site in drawing these comparisons and cross-referencing with Jackie Jura's excellent notes and correlations with the future. On March 5, CNN's headline blazed, "The President of the United States traffics in conspiracy theories," then goes on to document Donald Trump's ongoing perpetuation of lies and misinformation. Jackie Jura n Orwell Today has a section on "Conspiracy Goes Mainstream," which chronicles history's most unique conspiracies.

But time now to look at George Orwell and then Donald trump through the eyes of "Orwell Today." And the only way to begin is to start with Orwell's most imposing creation, Big Brother. It was the Proles who marched through the streets with placards celebrating Big Brother’s ability to 'Make Oceania Great Again.' Fast forward to the 2016 campaign when Trump followers with red hats were marching everywhere with signs that said, 'Make America Great Again.' Now Donald Trump is not Orwell's Big Brother, but he is the epitome of his oligarchs.

1984's Winston character tries to recall the past when everything had been better but today's world was the remnants of a society that was free and uncomplicated, unlike 1984, and the new world order where the world was broken into three super-states. Steve Bannon has three tenets on which he plans to build the new "Trumpism" and, although they aren't geographical like Orwell's three nations, they do represent the kind of one-nation ideology of a country that is at the current time highly divisive. They are Capitalism, nationalism, and “Judeo-Christian values.”

It was the plan of the 1984 autocrats to "Keep the Masses Down" in order to maintain a hierarchical society that could only be possible through the proletariat's poverty and ignorance. Although not directly related to Donald Trump, it is the policy of the Republican Party to amass the wealth in only a few (1% of the population) and keep the rest in the dark over what the Party is really doing, in order to maintain the blind votes of their followers. Like Orwell's world, Donald John and the GOP feel their complete survival depend on collectivism.

1984's "Ministry of Truth" must have been the prototype for Donald Trump's communications dept. with Sean Spicer playing the part of the book's character, Winston, whose job it was at the Ministry to take news items he received and turn them around to mean what the higher-ups in the Party wanted said. To be certain, the Ministry of Truth was only the front for a persisting procession of lies to the citizens of Oceania, tied in a neat bundle that, when exxhibited, was meant to be bona fide. Well, in 2017, as in 1984, there is nothing truthful about Donald John's Ministry of Truth.

Orwell's "Falsification of the Past" follows closely to the Ministry of Truth in the fabrication of any information that is granted to the public. If Trump doesn't like what has already been said, he will change it to fit what he wants. Like right after the inauguration when he removed the term "climate change" from the official White House website. In Oceania there was Oldspeak and "Newspeak," when translated corresponds to the civil tone coming from the White House during Barack Obama and earlier presidents, compared to Donald John's crude and sometimes lewd rhetoric.

PoliticoMagazine talks of the multitude of contradictions of Donald Trump: "Has anyone ever disagreed with Donald Trump more than Donald Trump?" The Inner Party in 1984 was governed by adherence to a common doctrine of "Doublethink," which means "the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one's mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them." Here are Politico's examples...
“I have no intention of running for president.” (Time, September 14, 1987)
“I am officially running for president.” (New York, June 16, 2015)
“I don’t want it for myself. I don’t need it for myself.” (ABC News, November 20, 2015)
“I wanted to do this for myself. … I had to do it for myself.” (Time, August 18, 2015)
“Politicians are all talk and no action.” (Twitter, May 27, 2015)
“I’m not a politician.” (CNN, August 11, 2015)
“I’m no different than a politician running for office.” (New York Times, July 28, 2015)
Orwell's "Ministry of Love" is like other of his poetic symbols that mean the opposite of what they
say. This one is actually a torture chamber for people who have been picked up by the Thought Police for thinking bad things against Big Brother. Now Donald John has no thought police per se, except for his minions who try to unsuccessfully control the media, but he does have a lot of love he spews on a regular basis, like how much he loves women. How much he loves immigrants. How much he loves blacks. And then he degrades each with a vehemence not found when expressing the love.

I could go on for some time but it will be much more interesting for you to browse Jackie Jura's Orwell Today site and come up with your own conclusions of how George Orwell's book, 1984, corresponds with the idiocy of the Donald Trump administration. Check the 45 topics she has documented on the left-hand side of the site. and when you go to something like "Big Brother" be sure and take advantage of the notes and analogies she has referenced as they will often point directly to current events. Good Reading!

George Orwell predicted Donald Trump

Orwell's classic, 1984, was published in 1949, one year before his death in 1950. He died of Tuberculosis, another respiratory disease, which is rare today but can still be spread by anyone who is infected. There is a vaccine for TB but isn't normally given in the United States because of the low risk of infection. When I was in my teens, I remember a neighbor who caught TB, was quarantined, and the neighborhood went on about its business.

The above is given based on the fact that we are currently going through the coronavirus pandemic, also a respiratory disease, that as of today has spawned 8,380,969 cases and 224,643 deaths, with 60,000 of those preventable by Donald Trump in a grossly mismanaged campaign to control the virus. Most of this is attributable to the Oval Office lunatic's authoritarianism which is so similar to similar to Orwell's dystopia.

Ken Abramowitz, writing for the Jewish News Syndicate, says...
"It [1984] dealt with the consequences of a totalitarian government, mass surveillance, unending propaganda to distort the truth, and the suppression of freedom, including even the freedom of thought. The totalitarian state, which is at the heart of the story, perpetuates its rule by continuously spying on its citizens, systematically manipulating the truth, and rewriting history.

Sound familiar? Trump is not a fan of George Orwell but was compared to 1984 when making the statement in 2018, “What you’re seeing and what you’re reading is not what’s happening.” Abramowitz added...

For some, the quote immediately recalled a line from Orwell’s dystopian novel 1984: “The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”

The big difference here would be Donald Trump "told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears." And, of course, the poor souls who follow Trump have done just as he told them to do. There are some quotes in this article that are downright terrifying when compared to the real Donald Trump. Like...

  • The further a society drifts from truth, the more it will hate those who speak it.
  • Free speech is my right to say what you don’t want to hear.
  • It’s frightful that people who are so ignorant should have so much influence.
  • A society becomes totalitarian when its structure becomes flagrantly artificial: that is, when its ruling class has lost its function but succeeds in clinging to power by force or fraud.
Abramowitz had one last shot...
"One of Orwell’s observations is particularly appropriate today. He warned of the authoritarian enemies who, driven by an intoxication of power, will be waging a campaign of fear, rage and loyalty only to their party. Already in 1949, Orwell foresaw the budding of dystopia in the world."

For those of you who haven't read 1984, Remember Orwell’s warning: “Don’t let it happen; it depends on you!” VOTE DONALD TRUMP AND ALL HIS REPUBLICAN CRONIES OUT NEXT MONTH!

Trump to launch Big Brother to stop mass shootings

September 1, 2019" PROGRESSIVE STREET NEWS BYTES...Where Liberals Walk

Donald Trump seeks Orwell's 1984 to solve gun violence

Trump - Orwell
Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell wouldn't think of initiating the correct approaches to stopping mass shootings, things like universal background checks, closing the gun show loophole, halting straw purchases, and, of course, banning assault weapons. No, the Oval Office lunatic and Moscow Mitch would go with grossly invading the privacy of innocent Americans with Orwellian fictionalized technology. They prefer "new 'solutions' that won’t do anything about guns"...
"These proposals frequently focus on mental health, but a new plan before the White House to monitor “neurobehavioral” predictors of violence isn’t just misguided, it’s terrifyingly dystopian."
Should we all re-read George Orwell's 1984 to understand Donald Trump?...

They are creating a new agency called HARPA, a healthcare counterpart to the Pentagon’s research and development arm DARPA. And here is how HARPA would stick their noses into the lives of us proles...
The proles in 1984 are Orwell's satirical take on the proletariat, the industrial working class in whose interest the Party is ostensibly operating. George Orwell's novel was intended to be a very dark satire on what a totalitarian government would be like if it were ever inflicted upon Britain.
HARPA "would reportedly collect volunteer data from a suite of smart devices, including Apple Watches, Fitbits, Amazon Echos, and Google Homes in order to identify “neurobehavioral signs” of “someone headed toward a violent explosive act.” The project would then use artificial intelligence to create a “sensor suite” to flag mental changes that make violence more likely." And there you have it, George Orwell's Big Brother in 2019.

This maniacal idea has been in the works since 2017, but the mass shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio gave it momentum. Trump's demented mind calls it, “SAFE HOME,” an acronym for “Stopping Aberrant Fatal Events by Helping Overcome Mental Extremes.” And why does Donald dufus keep returning to mental health as an answer to gun violence? Because Donald Trump, himself is mentally ill and he wants everyone else to be the same.

Complete disarray as Donald Trump continues to bungle the coronavirus outbreak...

The Oval Office lunatic cannot realize, or if he can, which is most likely, that he and only he is responsible if the coronavirus goes out of control in the United States.

It is Donald Trump's administration that early on fired the pandemic response team in 2018...place the incompetent V.P. Mike Pence in charge of the coronavirus program...His US health department sent unprepared workers to assist Americans evacuated from China...and dating all the way back to 2017, Trump's intelligence team knew about the potential effects of coronavirus in the U.S., but were afraid to tell T-rump because they felt it might upset him. Unconscionable and all preventable.

Further, he is blaming it on the Democrats rather than the complete "bungling" of the problem by his administration. Trump's Twitter comment...
“Low Ratings Fake News MSDNC (Comcast) & @CNN are doing everything possible to make the Caronavirus (sic) look as bad as possible, including panicking markets, if possible. Likewise, their incompetent Do Nothing Democrat comrades are all talk, no action. USA in great shape!”
Should be a permanent addition
This idiot can't even spell the name of perhaps the biggest potential health threat the United States and the world have seen in years...READ MORE...

CDC urgent on spread of coronavirus... The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is putting out the word for all Americans to be prepared for the possible escalation of the Coronavirus outbreak. This goes hand-in-hand with Donald Trump's continued tweeting that downplays the disease, while trying to lay the blame for all this on the Democrats and the media. No longer trying to prevent the virus from entering the country...
“The data over the past week about the spread in other countries has raised our level of concern and expectation that we are going to have community spread here,” Dr. Nancy Messonnier, the CDC’s head of respiratory diseases, told reporters on a conference call.
What is not known, she said, is when it will arrive and how severe a U.S. outbreak might be. “Disruption to everyday life might be severe” and businesses, schools and families should begin having discussions about the possible impact from the spread of the virus, Messonnier cautioned.
San Francisco has declared a medical emergency in preparedness, even though they don't yet have any cases. "Although the World Health Organization says the epidemic has peaked in China, coronavirus cases have surfaced in about 30 other countries, with some three dozen deaths reported." With the recent U.S. death in Seattle, a man, not a woman as T-rump reported, it isn't time for tweeting, it is time for action...READ MORE...

Trump's "Deep State" hit list...

Trump's MAGA morons still blaming the left's deep state...You know the term: "A deep state (from Turkish: derin devlet), also known as a state within a state, is a form of clandestine government made up of hidden or covert networks of power operating independently of a state's political leadership, in pursuit of their own agenda and goals,"according to Wikipedia. In this case it refers to underground Democrats bent on destroying Donald Trump. Yeah, sure.

Here's the scenario...
As POLITICO’s Ben Shreckinger and Alice Miranda point out, the “evidence” for the theory centers around the fact that an official from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention who’s been making public statements on the virus is the sister of Rod Rosenstein, the former deputy attorney general who oversaw the Mueller probe — and who some say suggested removing Trump from office. Now, Dr. Nancy Messonnier’s connection to Rosenstein is even being seized on by right-wing radio host Rush Limbaugh and Jim Hoft, who is the publisher of the pro-Trump site Gateway Pundit.
"Shreckinger and Miranda [also] mention that there’s no evidence that federal health authorities are overstating the threat of coronavirus in an effort to undermine Trump."...READ MORE...

Typical Donald Trump headline: "Top expert on viral infections must get Pence’s approval before issuing statements." This as almost as ludicrous as the Oval Office lunatic putting Pence in charge of the coronavirus issue in the first place. I posted on Pence's irresponsible handling of the HIV outbreak as Indiana's governor, and a statement he had made earlier that smoking does not kill. The man is a certified idiot and as Bernie Sanders said, will probably try to pray himself out of the coronavirus dilemma.

George Orwell's totalitarian novel, "1984," has been used repeatedly to describe Donald Trump's administration, and the following statement is continuing proof that the White House maniac is truly a tyrant...
"The New York Times reports that Dr. Anthony Fauci, who serves as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, has “told associates that the White House had instructed him not to say anything else without clearance” about the disease."
Fortunately, Fauci, alone, is smarter than the entire Trump administration, thus, we can probably expect leaks to benefit the American public when this becomes necessary.

A military hospital full of Spanish influenza patients in Kansas circa 1918. (National Museum of Health and Medicine)

If your memory of history is as bad as mine, you also do not remember the 1918 flu pandemic that killed millions. It was a new strain of influenza that "hit military camps in Europe on both sides of World War I." It took Spain to finally report the disease accurately so that its crucial nature was realized. Months later a bigger, deadlier wave swept across the globe. So how does that parallel today's dilemma?...
“They [the Trump administration] are clearly trying to put the best possible gloss on things, and are trying to control information,” said John M. Barry, author of “The Great Influenza: The Epic Story of the Deadliest Plague in History.”
Now, this is beyond frightening. I don't mean to be alarming because this is the last thing we must do in a situation where a Donald Trump is in charge of the U.S. Government. And Moscow Mitch is in control of the Senate. Donald dufus could not handle a panic across this country, so we must be guarded in how re report the problem. And a problem it is. Here's the latest in Kirkland, WA, where the first U.S. death occurred...
"approximately 27 of the 108 residents and 25 of the 180 staff have some symptoms, health officials said during a teleconference with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Authorities report that some among them have pneumonia."
So, the motto today is don't panic, but do practice prevention... READ MORE...

Trump embraces Big Brother again

With coronavirus now deemed a pandemic by WHO, Donald Trump is hiding certain pertinent info on the disease from staff, Americans and the world...

See the source imageJust when transparency is the most needed, the Oval Office lunatic has decided to classify "top-level coronavirus meetings," where decisions are made and judgments decided that should be known throughout the government structure. It is also information that should be shared with the American public and made available to other world leaders to help contain the virus. Here's the scenario...
"officials said that dozens of classified discussions about such topics as the scope of infections, quarantines and travel restrictions have been held since mid-January in a high-security meeting room at the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), a key player in the fight against the coronavirus."
Reuter's reported, "Staffers without security clearances, including government experts, were excluded from the interagency meetings." An official commented...
“We had some very critical people who did not have security clearances who could not go. These should not be classified meetings. It was unnecessary.”
Hiding "the scope of infections" from those charged with maintaining control of coronavirus seems unconscionable in light of Donald Trump's completely inept response to the situation from the beginning, just adding more roadblocks to bringing it under control in the United States. According to CNBC it was...
"the National Security Council (NSC), which advises the president on security issues, ordered the classification. “This came directly from the White House.”
Only the "proles" can defeat Donald Trump in November...

By putting a lid on specific information, it could delay response to the crisis. It also illustrates to what lengths Donald Trump will go to protect his favorability rating leading into November. And then an NSC spokesman confused the issue by defending the administration's move but with a mixed reply on...
"transparency across federal agencies and noted that meetings of the administration’s task force on the coronavirus all are unclassified. It was not immediately clear which meetings he was referring to."
Here's CNBC's opinion of the Trump administration on coronavirus transparency...
"Critics have hammered the Trump administration for what they see as a delayed response to coronavirus outbreaks and a lack of transparency, including sidelining experts and providing misleading or incomplete information to the public. State and local officials also have complained of being kept in the dark about essential federal response information."
Image result for big brother and trump

Common Dreams added...
Gregg Gonsalves, a Yale epidemiologist who has been publicly critical of Trump's response to the coronavirus outbreak, tweeted Wednesday that Trump's order to classify coronavirus meetings shows the president is "trying to cover his tracks" as he continues to face backlash over his handling of the outbreak.
"Yes, Donald Trump has botched the response to coronavirus pandemic," said Gonsalves. "But classifying deliberations makes it harder for health experts in government without security clearances to be in key meetings."
"This is unprecedented, unnecessary, and damages our ability to respond to the pandemic," Gonsalves added.
In George Orwell's 1984, in the beginning, the government would pick and choose what information it wanted the Proles to know. Then it swooped down and they were surrounded by a world of complete disinformation, controlling everything they were to know.

Catch-up with my latest news bytes...

RawStory says Republicans can't win unless they cheat, evidenced by the GOP holding up three election voting security bills...

Moscow Mitch admits, THERE ARE 395 HOUSE BILLS SITTING IN THE SENATE. He adds, "WE'RE NOT GOING TO PASS THOSE." This pathetic lowlife rivals Donald Trump in his corruption and disservice to this country.

Salon says the, "American health care system costs four times more than Canada's single-payer system." This means, "Americans pay $2,497 a year for insurance overhead and admin costs, while Canadians pay just $551." And that means that the health-care industry and pharmaceutical companies are gouging U.S. citizens for every penny they can get. Leading to why 70% of the country favors Bernie Sanders Medicare for All.

Here's a headline for anyone thinking of voting for Donald Trump in November,
"Trump’s economy is far from the ‘best ever’ — and wage growth ‘pales in comparison’ to past presidents." What we hear from the Oval Office lunatic on a mostly daily basis is that he has made the economy great, it's beautiful. Well, it's not and that is just more of his bullshit.

The AlterNet's John Stoehr of the Editorial Board says we might very well expect a Trump secret police in the future. Here's the scenario...
"I wrote this morning about the president’s new intimidation of sanctuary cities. He’s deploying 100 CBP agents, including BORTAC, which is a SWAT team for border security. The official goal is increasing deportations by 35 percent, but it’s pretty clear the aim is bullying local law enforcement into cooperating with federal authorities."
It wouldn't surprise me in the least if T-rump began to organize the double-digit thugs who follow him into a squad of enforcers to implement his psycho demands. The next step is a full-blown Big Brother. Was George Orwell actually predicting Donald Trump?

A warning from overseas: "Europeans fear relationship with America will only get worse under a Trump second term." And, it no doubt will, as he continues to piss off foreign leaders, coddling up to rogue nations like Russia and North Korea. Here's the scenario...
"The president has routinely attacked various European politicians, and criticized NATO security partnerships, claiming that America is carrying too much of the burden on its own. He has also undermined key security agreements in which Europe plays a role, including the Iran nuclear deal, which includes France, Germany, and the United Kingdom."
Europe is considering developing the power it needs to do without the help of the United States in the future, go it on their own while distancing themselves from a relationship it took decades for America to develop. They think that is what T-rump wants and they may very well be right.

Former judge, Andrew Napolitano, speaks: "Trump guilty as charged in impeachment trial"

Judge Andrew Napolitano

You have a combination of factors here starting with the fact that Napolitano is a respected retired jurist. He is a conservative. And he works for the news network known for skewing its reporting solidly to the right, telling a lot of lies, and always, always promoting Donald Trump. The judge may work for Fox, but he tells the truth, unlike another Fox personality, Sean Hannity, who accused Democrats of supporting "abortion after birth."

Andrew Napolitano really lowered the boom on Senate Republicans for closing the impeachment trial without witnesses. He commented...
"The former New Jersey Superior Court judge said a trial should be a search for truth, but the Fox News contributor wrote in his new column that GOP senators instead turned the impeachment into “a steamroller of political power” by blocking witness testimony."
He added one of my favorite quotes from George Orwell's 1984...
“The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”
The jurist questioned Alan Dershowitz’s argument against impeachment, explaining how Republican Senators ate it up when almost no legal expert would confirm it. Napolitano says it almost looks like states have ceded power on the impeachment issue refining its language to...
"permit a president to engage in high crimes and misdemeanors so long as he believes that they are in the national interest and so long as his party has an iron-clad grip on the Senate.”
The judge went on to say...
"that House investigators had made their case that Trump had abused his power in office, committed bribery and broken campaign finance law — all of which could be defined as high crimes."
He said the evidence was "overwhelming and beyond a reasonable doubt," with numerous government officials confirming Trump's bribe, and the meter is still running. In a parting comment...
"Napolitano warned that Trump and his GOP allies had established a dangerous precedent and irreparably damaged the Constitution."
The latter is pretty much true of everything Donald Trump and his administration has done from the inauguration. Add to that a cowardly and clueless Congress backing him all the way, and you have the chaos we live with today.

George Orwell wants Donald Trump impeached

The dope with the genius
Well, that's not exactly what the famous writer said, but as a serious Orwell fan, I agree with the author of 1984's quotes, “ignoring facts which are obvious and unalterable,” and  “To see what is in front of one’s nose needs a constant struggle.” The first quote applies specifically to T-rump, the second to his followers. AlterNet mentions Hitler's intentions of the 1930s as a wake-up call that went unanswered, somewhat comparable to the Trump administration today.

Germany invaded Poland in 1939, Trump is on the verge of invading Iran today. AlterNet's take on the Russian interference in the 2016 election that led to the Mueller Report...
"Everyone able and willing to distinguish facts from lies has witnessed Trump’s brazen cover-up of Russia’s attack. He has never named or denounced the aggressor, while depicting the investigators as traitors who used a hoax to attempt a coup."
Here's another scenario in which the...
"author casts himself as defender of the nation against the 'globalist elite' and their 'deep state' henchmen. In Act I, he miraculously outwits their attempt to rig the 2016 election; in Act II he thwarts their attempted coup. Act III completes the plot, as the Democrats manage to fake a 2020 victory, only to face a resolute President who—having forewarned of a final deep state conspiracy to regain power—announces a state of emergency."
God forbid another four years of this maniac, as Democrats, even now work feverishly in deciding whether to impeach Trump. However, what we will get is a mealy-mouthed goody-two-shoes who, in my opinion, would be worse than the Oval Office lunatic. And with John Bolton behind the escalation of war with Iran, anything could happen. All of this results from...
"Tehran's decision to stop fully complying with the 2015 nuclear pact after several weeks of intensifying US sanctions and restrictions against Iran, as well as warnings from Washington about an increased Iranian threat to US personnel in the region."
It's the same tit for tat crap that Trump is using against xi jinpin in the China Tariff war and none of this bodes well for the American people.

Arizona teachers fined $5,000 for getting controversial

The state of Arizona is famous for the zany antics of its Republican politicians. I call your attention to the ongoing audit of the 2020 election, an effort initiated to please the disgraced ex-president, Donald Trump, with the majority of the GOP minions joining the bandwagon. The leading idiot is Kevin McCarthy, House Minority Leader, and general rabble-rouser for the insane idea that Trump won the 2020 election.

But that's only background to lead into the latest lunacy by an Arizona legislator, a part of the GOP, of course. It seems that Republican Rep. Michelle Udahl has introduced legislation that could fine teachers $5,000 if they bring up a "controversial" subject in the classroom. But that's not all, this also applies to anyone aiding a person doing the same. Here's George Orwell's take...
"In writing 1984, Orwell's main goal was to warn of the serious danger totalitarianism poses to society. He goes to great lengths to demonstrate the terrifying degree of power and control a totalitarian regime can acquire and maintain."

Moron Michelle Udahl says her bill is only designed to ensure accuracy of teaching. Elvia Diaz, columnist for USA Today adamantly says "It is not." As far as I'm concerned it stinks of Charles Koch in his drive to make everything conservative and this is his way to warp the minds of children while their young minds are the most pliable. Koch and his gang of radical rights are afraid of a concept called Critical Race Theory (CRT).

This is the definition of CRT according to Britannica...

"Critical race theory (CRT), intellectual movement and loosely organized framework of legal analysis based on the premise that race is not a natural, biologically grounded feature of physically distinct subgroups of human beings but a socially constructed (culturally invented) category that is used to oppress and exploit people of color."

Since it has become clear that Republicans are racists, particularly in their recent statewide moves to limit the ability of people of color to vote, legislation like that of Udahl is probably only the first of many to come, just like the voter suppression movement. Just keep in mind...if you take Koch out of the action, you will have removed the leader.

Donald Trump Says He Will Be Indicted On Tuesday

THAT'S TODAY... Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has brought the case to this point, now looking at a possible indictment. Trum...
