Spread and control COVID-19 results

Things you should know now on the latest spread and control of coronavirus...

COVID-19 is still spreading
HEADLINE: "Disaster-hero general rips Jared Kushner over coronavirus stockpile." Retired Lt. Gen. Russell Honore said of Jared Kushner, “He has no idea what the hell he’s talking about.” Honore...

"who led federal relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina has joined a chorus of critics slamming President Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner for his take on tapping the national stockpile of medical equipment during the coronavirus crisis."
HEADLINE: "Georgia GOP governor orders several beaches to reopen days after acknowledging he’s woefully uneducated on coronavirus spread." Here's an excellent condemnation from the Atlanta Journal...
"The stupidity and lack of regard of human life on display in Republican-run states is beyond criminal and inhumane. In fact, there are no words to describe this. Because the longer these so-called “leaders” make decisions that are in the best interests of, I don’t know who, the longer it will take to come out of this pandemic that is claiming so many thousands of lives."
HEADLINE: "Brace yourself: This might be Trump’s dirty and cynical plan for Dr. Anthony Fauci." Dr. Fauci's reluctance for hydroxychloroquine is genuine and comes in light of the recently discovered fact that Donald Trump and his cronies have interests in the company that produces the drug. Fauci's concern is over the fact...
"the drug has been known to damage the nervous system, cause psychological trauma and lead to heart attacks."
HEADLINE: "Grocery workers are beginning to die of coronavirus." We know of at least four, two of them coming from a Chicago area Walmart. I did a post recently, "We are neglecting doctors and nurses on frontlines of COVID-19." The question arises, are stores neglecting their employees in situations where they are in close contact with customers? Here's the scenario...
"Though more than 40 states have ordered nonessential businesses to close and told residents to stay home to stem the spread of the virus, supermarkets are among the retailers that remain open. Thousands of grocery employees have continued to report to work as U.S. infections and death rates continue to climb, with many reporting long shifts and extra workloads to keep up with spiking demand. Many workers say they don’t have enough protective gear to deal with hundreds of customers a day. Dozens of grocery workers have tested positive for the coronavirus in recent weeks."
HEADLINE: "The Coronavirus Could Cause a Child Abuse Epidemic." Here is what is happening...
"Entire families are sheltering at home, often in close quarters. Anxiety about health, education and finances is high. Children aren’t seeing the teachers, counselors and other adults who would normally raise concerns about their well-being. The Covid-19 pandemic has created the conditions for a rise in child abuse that could go unchecked."
This is something that must be dealt with immediately because these children, and women as well, now really have nowhere to go, and some are in a terrifying environment.

This is an APOLOGY for Iowa's Gov, Jan Reynolds

Gov. Reynolds
Looks like I'm the idiot, not Iowa's Governor, Jan Reynolds. I chastised her for refusing to order 'Stay-at-Home' for Iowans. Turns out Dr, Anthony Fauci has praised her and the state for its great handling of the issue. Please accept my apologies Governor for you and your state.

Hydroxychloroquine covered by Dr. Fauci

Is hydroxychloroquine the miracle drug Donald Trump is making it?...

Dr. Fauci puts potential drug use in perspective...

Donald Trump has touted hydroxychloroquine used to treat malaria for COVID-19, but Dr. Anthony Fauci says it is only anecdotal. Just for grins I looked up the term and here is the definition of anecdotal...
"An adjective, (of an account) not necessarily true or reliable, because it is based on personal accounts rather than facts or research."
Plain and simple, it is not yet approved to treat coronavirus, based on lengthy scientific studies. In a pandemic, do you have time for lengthy scientific studies? While the answer to that is probably no, if you do proceed without adequate studies with proven results, are you ready for after and side-effects that could be deadly? That's what the FDA is for, to approve any medication like this going on the market, but not doing so until credible scientists have given the go-ahead.

And we're not there yet, but already there is activity in New York on the drug...
"A [New York] state Health Department official said the DOH has shipped doses of hydroxychloroquine to 56 hospitals across New York, distributing enough “to treat 4,000 patients to date.”
Reported by the New York Post, "Patients have received doses as part of four- or 10-day regimens, officials said." Here's the scenario...
"The University of Albany’s School of Public Health is observing the drug’s impact on the patients, and its preliminary study could come back in weeks instead of the usual months, officials said."
Trump blocks Dr. Fauci's answer on "anecdotal" hydroxychloroquine...

Clinical trials are being conducted and there is hope there will be results in just weeks, rather than the usual months' wait. The following is new to me but, “Currently, there is no proven way to prevent COVID-19 after being exposed,” So...
“If hydroxychloroquine provides protection, then it could be an essential tool for fighting this pandemic. If it doesn’t, then people should avoid unnecessary risks from taking the drug.”
The drugs current use is "to treat malaria, rheumatoid arthritis and lupus." And here is why the expert, Dr. Fauci wants to restrict hydroxychloroquine's wide distribution...
"Its potential side effects include everything from fatal heart arrhythmia to vision loss, ear-ringing, vomiting, mood changes, skin rashes and hair loss."
Gov. Andrew Cuomo on New York testing hydroxychloroquine and other similar drugs...

That, most would agree, is a good reason for reluctance to actively push the drug just yet. Apparently no one thinks the it will be a “miracle drug” for COVID-19, but the world is desperately looking for anything to fight this virus. There is a protocol for the studies being done in New York...
"Each day during the 14-day period and then again on Day 28, the participants will swab their nasal passages and send the samples to researchers to detect potential COVID-19 infection.
“'If everything goes as planned, the eight-week trial could provide answers by summer on whether a preventive dose of the drug is safe and effective,’' NYU Langone said in a release."
The question, of course, is whether Dr. Fauci will still consider the evidence anecdotal, and if so, will it proceed to limited use, with or without the expert? My gut tells me that, if after the summer period when the study results are in, which are not yet really as scientific as Fauci requires, there will be an all-out war between the factions and guess who will win. And it won't be the American public.

'Stay at Home' conflict between Dr. Fauci and Trump

Donald Trump continues his initial posture of denial and refusal to act on the coronavirus crisis by refusing to heed the expert's advice, Dr. Fauci, to issue 'Stay at Home Order'...

Dr. Anthony Fauci
Dr. Fauci, always in the middle

Dr. Andrew Fauci appeared on CNN with Anderson Cooper, who asked the question, "Knowing the science, does it make sense to you that some states are still not issuing stay at home orders?" The states that do not comply are: Alabama, Arkansas, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah and Wyoming. Cooper thought it should be a scientific decision, not political; Fauci agreed, didn't know why Trump hasn't acted.

See my post from yesterday, "Some COVID-19 deaths fault of GOP Governors."

Dr. Fauci can't understand why no 'Stay at Home' order...

Back to ground zero with the Oval Office lunatic who is still more concerned with the health of big business than the health of the American people, those who elected him. Then Fauci commented...
"The tension between federally mandated versus states rights to do what they want is something I don't want to get into. But if you look at what's going on in this country, I just don't understand why we're not doing that. We really should be."
In a recent statement T-rump said...
"that he has no plans to issue a national stay at home order. Trump said he believed the decision should be left up to governors since the virus affects each state differently."
And while all this is going on, Americans are dying.

Trump touted coronavirus vaccine derivative, chloroquine, kills Arizona man

Strong words of experience from someone who has been there: "Listen to doctors, not Donald Trump"...

Dr Anthony Fauci speaks as US President Donald Trump listens during the daily press briefing
Dr. Fauci has urged caution on chloroquine

The above from the wife of the Arizona man who died after taking chloroquine, when hearing Donald Trump pushing it in press conferences and also by his minions, that it could cure coronavirus and was safe to take. The BBC says...
"The drug has been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for treating malaria, lupus and rheumatoid arthritis but is unproven for use against the novel coronavirus."
In these press conference the wife mentions, Trump went off on his usual tirades of telling the American public he was there to save lives and here's the drug to do it, chloroquine, which has been approved to fight malaria, but is also an ingredient used in cleaning fish tanks, thus, an obvious toxicity. The Arizona couple, in their sixties, took the Oval Office lunatic's advice, the wife commenting...
"We saw his press conference. It was on a lot, actually," she said. "Trump kept saying it was basically pretty much a cure."
"We were afraid of getting sick," she told NBC.
Reporter talks to dead husband's wife...

She is still in intensive care and her husband is dead. Here is what the wife advises...
"The wife of an Arizona man who died after ingesting chloroquine phosphate to protect himself from the novel coronavirus urged the public on Monday not to "believe anything that the president says" and rely on doctors instead."
But here's the kicker...
"The couple had used chloroquine previously as a treatment for their koi fish and still had some remaining in their home. This additive is formulated differently than the drug used to treat malaria."
And there you have it. They hear the White House maniac recommend the drug, chloroquine, recognize the name from the fact they have it as a treatment for their koi fish, and to my knowledge Trump did not add a disclaimer in pushing the drug saying it was also used to clean fish tanks. I must say, this couple should have used more common sense in self-medicating this drug, but Arizonans are dire-hard Trump fans and this idiot does have the authority of the White House.

It goes in here, not in your mouth

So what we have is tragedy in the desert that could easily have been prevented if Donald Trump had just kept his mouth shut and let the experts make the statements that so severely affect people's lives. As a matter of fact, Dr. Andrew Fauci, who serves as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), nixed T-rump's touting of the three drugs, including chloroquine saying the results were so far anecdotal, needed more testing for coronavirus. But...
"The president has repeatedly touted chloroquine as a "very powerful" treatment against the coronavirus and falsely claimed it was approved by the Food and Drug Administration."
And finally, the Arizona wife pleads...
"The president has repeatedly touted chloroquine as a 'very powerful' treatment against the coronavirus and falsely claimed it was approved by the Food and Drug Administration."
It is impossible to understand how Donald Trump can live with what he has done.

Trump talks very soon, very quick

Also, in Donald Trump's news conference, there were repeated uses of the words "soon" and "quick" to describe the end of coronavirus...

Image result for dr.fauci on hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine
Dr. Fauci still skeptical over hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine
A rambling, sometimes incoherent coronavirus news conference was held yesterday by "Dr." Donald Trump, who professes to know more than the doctors who advise him, this time doing it without his top COVID-19 aide, Dr. Anthony Fauci. I believe one of Fauci's last comments was that he didn't want to embarrass Trump, going on to try and explain why he doesn't correct his boss during press conferences. Was this his swan song?

In Monday's news conference, the Oval Office lunatic was touting his latest finding that hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine, both of which are used to treat malaria, could also work to cure coronavirus. Dr. Fauci says any results on its success so far are anecdotal, which might account for the fact he was shuttered today. By the way, if we lose this man, we lose all access to accurate information on the status of COVID-19 in the U.S. Dr. Fauci...
"Fauci’s statements at a White House briefing Friday amounted to clinical cold water thrown on the president’s repeated upbeat assessments on the U.S. fight against the virus, also known as COVID-19."
Here's Trump's news conference, if you have the stomach...

It should also be noted that in Phoenix, a man has died and his wife is under critical care after the couple, both in their 60s, ingested chloroquine phosphate, an additive commonly used at aquariums to clean fish tanks, also touted as a possible coronavirus  cure. The medication was self-ingested and one must wonder if they were Trump supporters. Banner Health reports they both were treated there and made this statement...
“We are strongly urging the medical community to not prescribe this medication to any non-hospitalized patients,” said Dr. Brooks.
Image result for cdc on hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine
Fish tank cleaner?
The CDC says...
"a single 'small study' shows the combination helped against the SARS strain that causes Covid-19, the CDC said, but 'did not assess clinical benefits.'"
The agency also commented that hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine taken in combination...
"can disrupt the heart's electrical activity and warns against prescribing the paired drugs to anyone with chronic medical conditions, such as renal failure or hepatic disease."
While Donald Trump rushes ahead on the two medications for market approval, the health community, including Trump's own CDC, move cautiously urging that more testing be done. New York begins trials this week for the two drugs plus the antibiotic azithromycin. The healthcare community says don't be too optimistic, but the New York region is desperate, having been recently designated the epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic. We can only wish the tests luck!

The U.S. is still behind in coronavirus testing. WHY?

The short answer to this question is Donald Trump and his incompetent administration, plus a clueless Republican Congress...

Image:

Some states are off the board with testing like New York, where Governor Andrew Cuomo said Monday "there were 950 cases of the virus statewide, the highest of any state in the country. But this is what has happened...
"When the outbreak first came to New York, the state set a target goal of running 1,000 tests a day. By the end of this week, the state expects to be able to perform 7,000 tests per day — an 'exponential increase of what we have done.' Along with the uptick in tests, Americans should expect to see a rise in confirmed cases," Cuomo added.
And that's the problem with coronavirus case numbers across much of the U.S., we won't really know how many cases of the virus there are until we step up the testing. Political has an excellent illustration of test activity, as well as several other components measuring the disease. It shows that so far the United States has given 76,495 tests with 7,721 positive and 112 deaths. Still no comparison with Italy, 134,000 and So. Korea 274,000.

Here's the scenario...
"Many state officials have expressed exasperation over the testing rollout, as it was hampered at first by flawed test kits sent out by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to public health laboratories across the country, and then limited by what was then narrow criteria from the agency for who qualified for a test. A shortage of a chemical needed to run the tests last week added to the problems."
Here's what Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, testified in a House hearing Thursday...
"The system is not really geared to what we need right now. That is a failing. Let's admit it."
And who can we thank for that? None other than Donald Trump, who disbanded the National Security Council’s office on pandemics, set up by former President Barack Obama. No doubt just for spite. What do you think the families of those 112 coronavirus deaths, above, think of that? Pathetic! READ MORE...

People emptying store shelves - What to do?

In the coronavirus pandemic there are hoarders on the one side,,,and then you have the greedy who just buy to fleece the public...

Empty shelves are seen in a store on March 13 in New York City. (Jeenah Moon/Getty Images)
Empty store shelves in New York city
We were in Walmart recently shopping for the deals we usually buy there, when my wife decided to look for toilet paper, just in case. The shelf where it should have been was completely empty. Bare. A store employee standing close by remarked, 'Nothing, nada, we've had a run on toilet paper. One guy bought a whole pallet and said he planned to sell it on E-Bay.' We asked when they restock and he replied with the day and added 'You'd better get here early.'

And then my wife was in Costco and was told by a store employee that they were rationing products that were scarce, because the, shall we call them 'eager' buyers had emptied some locations of select merchandise. Now that's an idea, do what the alarmed public is never able to do, reasonably limit ourselves. The same thing happens in hurricanes, tornadoes. So now my family has decided to shop for two weeks when we would normally shop for one. If there's a massive run on goods that can only result in a dangerous panic.

But there is another problem in addition to shortages of food and essential items. Here's a report from the Washington Post...
"The companies that feed America and provide basic staples are bracing for labor shortages as the novel coronavirus pandemic intensifies, which could leave them without enough workers to manufacture, deliver and unpack groceries in stores in the coming months."
Good video on hoarding pros and cons...

Industry officials say...
"there is generally enough nonperishable food on shelves, in warehouses and on the production line to last several months, but the challenge could soon be getting that food to the right places once local distribution centers are wiped out."
Due to profitability, which has prompted "slimming down on inventory instead of stockpiling backrooms," there is concern if factories don't produce and ports don't have the manpower to move products through the system. The entire country has experienced the tightening of our waists and that includes the workforce. Here's a remark from Mark Cohen, director of retail studies at Columbia Business School and the former chief executive of Sears Canada...
“We’ve whittled down the inefficiencies to the point where logical and orderly demand creates logical and orderly resupply. But this is a different situation: This is serial hoarding — and no part of the machine that supplies consumers is geared for this."
Does hoarding indicate some form of mental illness?...
"Compulsive hoarding was commonly considered to be a type of OCD. ... Compulsive hoarding is also considered a feature of obsessive-compulsive personality disorder (OCPD) and may develop along with other mental illnesses, such as dementia and schizophrenia."
A mentally challenged left spews conspiracy theories, a must read...

That isn't true of the guy who bought the pallet of toilet paper at Walmart' he's just greedy. And I'm not sure it is a reasonable study of someone in panic mode when faced by a disease that is affecting the world in a pandemic, causing thousands of deaths. I think it is closer to desperation to make sure your family is adequately taken care of. But desperation can lead to panic, which can result in unnecessary shortages because of a select group.

It's education that's needed, and so far that is not forthcoming from the Trump administration or his staff. Those you can depend on are Dr. Nancy Messonnier, director of the CDC’s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases and Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases who has been with the National Institutes of Health for more than 50 years.

The Oval Office lunatic spends all his time boasting what a great job he is doing and repeatedly saying "it'll go away." And the minions that work for Trump aren't bright enough nor have the strength to stand up to him so the propaganda continues to flow. Here's the scenario...
"There are already signs of far-reaching shortages: Shelves of hand sanitizer and disinfecting sprays have remained empty for weeks across the country. Amazon is largely sold out of toilet paper, with shipments that were due to be delivered earlier this week delayed indefinitely. Costco’s website, meanwhile, is out of peanut butter and canned tomatoes, and has removed its online listing for Kirkland brand baby wipes."
One has to assume that much of the panic is caused by the "Idiot" running the show and his number two flunky, Mike Pence, put in charge of things. Because Trump himself is complete confused over the issue, the American public is befuddled and dazed, completely bewildered over what to do. And these same people can't seem to come to grips with the fact that nothing will get better until we get rid of Donald Trump. Keep this in mind when you vote in November.

trump shuns hospital leaders who need coronavirus direction

Donald Trump doesn't want to meet with hospital officials because he knows he doesn't know what the hell he's doing.

This always works

And, yes, most hospital heads realize Trump hasn't a clue about fighting the coronavirus dilemma but are desperate for help. Dr. Anthony Fauci, a top player in Trump's coronavirus task force said the virus...
"has said that the US has 'not reached our peak,' in terms of novel coronavirus cases, adding that there will be more cases and more deaths, primarily among vulnerable older individuals."
The latest count is "2,885 cases of coronavirus in the US and the disease has resulted in at least 60 deaths." But Fauci isn't getting tested for the virus until there are symptoms, which he advises we all should do...READ MORE...

Complete disarray as Donald Trump continues to bungle the coronavirus outbreak...

The Oval Office lunatic cannot realize, or if he can, which is most likely, that he and only he is responsible if the coronavirus goes out of control in the United States.

It is Donald Trump's administration that early on fired the pandemic response team in 2018...place the incompetent V.P. Mike Pence in charge of the coronavirus program...His US health department sent unprepared workers to assist Americans evacuated from China...and dating all the way back to 2017, Trump's intelligence team knew about the potential effects of coronavirus in the U.S., but were afraid to tell T-rump because they felt it might upset him. Unconscionable and all preventable.

Further, he is blaming it on the Democrats rather than the complete "bungling" of the problem by his administration. Trump's Twitter comment...
“Low Ratings Fake News MSDNC (Comcast) & @CNN are doing everything possible to make the Caronavirus (sic) look as bad as possible, including panicking markets, if possible. Likewise, their incompetent Do Nothing Democrat comrades are all talk, no action. USA in great shape!”
Should be a permanent addition
This idiot can't even spell the name of perhaps the biggest potential health threat the United States and the world have seen in years...READ MORE...

CDC urgent on spread of coronavirus... The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is putting out the word for all Americans to be prepared for the possible escalation of the Coronavirus outbreak. This goes hand-in-hand with Donald Trump's continued tweeting that downplays the disease, while trying to lay the blame for all this on the Democrats and the media. No longer trying to prevent the virus from entering the country...
“The data over the past week about the spread in other countries has raised our level of concern and expectation that we are going to have community spread here,” Dr. Nancy Messonnier, the CDC’s head of respiratory diseases, told reporters on a conference call.
What is not known, she said, is when it will arrive and how severe a U.S. outbreak might be. “Disruption to everyday life might be severe” and businesses, schools and families should begin having discussions about the possible impact from the spread of the virus, Messonnier cautioned.
San Francisco has declared a medical emergency in preparedness, even though they don't yet have any cases. "Although the World Health Organization says the epidemic has peaked in China, coronavirus cases have surfaced in about 30 other countries, with some three dozen deaths reported." With the recent U.S. death in Seattle, a man, not a woman as T-rump reported, it isn't time for tweeting, it is time for action...READ MORE...

Trump's "Deep State" hit list...

Trump's MAGA morons still blaming the left's deep state...You know the term: "A deep state (from Turkish: derin devlet), also known as a state within a state, is a form of clandestine government made up of hidden or covert networks of power operating independently of a state's political leadership, in pursuit of their own agenda and goals,"according to Wikipedia. In this case it refers to underground Democrats bent on destroying Donald Trump. Yeah, sure.

Here's the scenario...
As POLITICO’s Ben Shreckinger and Alice Miranda point out, the “evidence” for the theory centers around the fact that an official from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention who’s been making public statements on the virus is the sister of Rod Rosenstein, the former deputy attorney general who oversaw the Mueller probe — and who some say suggested removing Trump from office. Now, Dr. Nancy Messonnier’s connection to Rosenstein is even being seized on by right-wing radio host Rush Limbaugh and Jim Hoft, who is the publisher of the pro-Trump site Gateway Pundit.
"Shreckinger and Miranda [also] mention that there’s no evidence that federal health authorities are overstating the threat of coronavirus in an effort to undermine Trump."...READ MORE...

Typical Donald Trump headline: "Top expert on viral infections must get Pence’s approval before issuing statements." This as almost as ludicrous as the Oval Office lunatic putting Pence in charge of the coronavirus issue in the first place. I posted on Pence's irresponsible handling of the HIV outbreak as Indiana's governor, and a statement he had made earlier that smoking does not kill. The man is a certified idiot and as Bernie Sanders said, will probably try to pray himself out of the coronavirus dilemma.

George Orwell's totalitarian novel, "1984," has been used repeatedly to describe Donald Trump's administration, and the following statement is continuing proof that the White House maniac is truly a tyrant...
"The New York Times reports that Dr. Anthony Fauci, who serves as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, has “told associates that the White House had instructed him not to say anything else without clearance” about the disease."
Fortunately, Fauci, alone, is smarter than the entire Trump administration, thus, we can probably expect leaks to benefit the American public when this becomes necessary.

A military hospital full of Spanish influenza patients in Kansas circa 1918. (National Museum of Health and Medicine)

If your memory of history is as bad as mine, you also do not remember the 1918 flu pandemic that killed millions. It was a new strain of influenza that "hit military camps in Europe on both sides of World War I." It took Spain to finally report the disease accurately so that its crucial nature was realized. Months later a bigger, deadlier wave swept across the globe. So how does that parallel today's dilemma?...
“They [the Trump administration] are clearly trying to put the best possible gloss on things, and are trying to control information,” said John M. Barry, author of “The Great Influenza: The Epic Story of the Deadliest Plague in History.”
Now, this is beyond frightening. I don't mean to be alarming because this is the last thing we must do in a situation where a Donald Trump is in charge of the U.S. Government. And Moscow Mitch is in control of the Senate. Donald dufus could not handle a panic across this country, so we must be guarded in how re report the problem. And a problem it is. Here's the latest in Kirkland, WA, where the first U.S. death occurred...
"approximately 27 of the 108 residents and 25 of the 180 staff have some symptoms, health officials said during a teleconference with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Authorities report that some among them have pneumonia."
So, the motto today is don't panic, but do practice prevention... READ MORE...

Will Trump drag his feet on coronavirus until it is out of control in the U.S.?

In this case, these two heads are horribly alarming

Unintelligible, as usual, Donald Trump in a news conference...
"claimed he saved America by shutting down flights, appointed Vice President Mike Pence to lead a coronavirus task force despite having few qualifications to do so, suggesting his public health budget cuts are no big deal because he can just hire more doctors later, and insisting that it was Democrats, rather than the epidemic, that tanked the stock market this week.
This is beyond unconscionable and borders on the hysterical kind of talk the psychiatrists say he should be committed for.   READ MORE...

Trump fired pandemic response team in 2018...

Cutting budgets, Trump eliminated funding to Obama-era disease security programs and...
"Rear Adm. Timothy Ziemer, whose job it was to lead the U.S. response in the event of a pandemic, abruptly left the administration and his global health security team was disbanded."
There's more...
Overall in 2018, Trump called for $15 billion in reduced health spending that had previously been approved, as he looked at increasing budget deficits, cutting the global disease-fighting budgets of the CDC, National Security Council (NSC), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and Health and Human Services (HHS) in the process.
And now we are facing a possible worldwide coronavirus epidemic which could turn into a pandemic having already started in the United States and getting worse.   READ MORE...

Larry Kudlow, Trump’s top economic advisor, falsely claimed that the U.S. had successfully "contained" the Coronavirus...

Where does he get these idiots? Kudlow is on a level with Education Secretary, Betsy DeVoss. The CDC had just warned of the deadly virus' spread in the United States. The U.S. had 53 confirmed cases as of last Monday. Kudlow even used the term "pretty close to air-tight" to describe its containment. It is pretty obvious that the Oval Office lunatic ordered Kudlow to make the statement to try and stabilize the stock market.

Larry Kudlow
Another cover-up by the Trump administration, but, the most frightening thing is that the White House maniac is making similar statements while a killer virus spreads throughout the United States. The horror of it all is, now Donald Trump has placed Larry Kudlow on his task force to respond to the coronavirus epidemic.  What will it take?   READ MORE...

Trump says we're very close to a Coronavirus vaccine. Dr. Anthony Fauci says it's a year away...

According to the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Anthony Fauci says that a coronavirus vaccine is at least a year away, and that is because the Donald Trump administration has completely dropped the ball. Fauci, on CNN’s ” New Day,” was asked by host John Berman about the fact that Trump had made the statement, “We’re very close to a vaccine." the doctor replied...
“Well, the confusion is we’re close to starting a phase one trial to determine safety,” Fauci explained. “We’re going to do that in about one and a half to two months –but that doesn’t mean you have a vaccine. In order to get a vaccine, that’s practically deployable for people to use, it’s going to be at least a year to a year and a half at best.”
T-rump's confusion is that he is just completely confused, about everything he talks about, evidenced by the gibberish we hear every time he opens his mouth.  And it gets more pathetic every day.

Trump silencing White House officials from talking about coronavirus to keep stock market up...

T-rump is scared to death the coronavirus epidemic and potential pandemic in the U.S. could lower his favorability ratings and lose the election for him in November. He doesn't give a shit about the American public and rants and raves from his self-appointed pedestal questioning the seriousness of the virus while we rack up 60 cases at home. And he's put the clamps on people who work for him...
"According to a report from the Washington Post, Donald Trump is trying to rein in officials in his own administration from talking about the spread of the coronavirus over fears that it will impact the stock market — and hurt his re-election prospects."
This idiot keeps saying it has been contained and cases will be at zero soon, as well as the fact--his fact--we will also shortly have a vaccine. All CDC officials have a resounding NO for each of these statements. When you watch the Oval Office lunatic, he appears to have complete belief in what he says. That is even more terrifying than the substance of his comments. It isn't the media's purpose to induce panic in the public, but it is their job to report the news accurately.

Anti-vaxxers threaten U.S. workplace, economy

Want your kid to look like this?
The National Institute of Health has said ...
"The agenda of anti-vaccination activists may be causing a drag on the U.S. economy as the measles outbreak forces people to stay out of work and seek medical care."
This is the statement by the director for the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Anthony Fauci. His premise is, “If you wind up getting more infections and diseases that were vaccine-preventable, those are entirely avoidable burdens on the economy.” In other words, it is the anti-vaxxers that are causing this problem, but we knew that already. Here are some numbers re. cost...
"a University of North Carolina study showed vaccine-preventable diseases among adults cost the economy nearly $9 billion in 2015, with unvaccinated individuals responsible for 80% of those costs."
There is a total of 704 measles cases now, the biggest number since the disease was considered controlled in 2000. There is no excuse for this happening other than the fact that these anti-vaxxing parents decided not to vaccinate their children, resulting in the outbreak. An outbreak that could prov fatal for some...
"Dr. Fauci, who helped develop a vaccine against AIDS, warned that measles itself is dangerous and can kill. The disease, before vaccines were available, killed an average of 2 million to 3 million people a year globally. In the United States, there were about 2 million cases [of measles] and about 500 deaths per year.”
If the feds don't take action soon, we could top those figures causing hundreds, maybe thousands of innocent deaths.

New disease anti-vaxxers will probably spurn

It's called AFM, which stands for Acute flaccid myelitis that is affecting children. It is a "rare, mysterious and sometimes deadly paralyzing illness that seems to ebb and flow on an every-other-year cycle." Here's even worse news...
"Dr. Anthony Fauci, head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said it may bear similarities to polio, which smoldered among humans for centuries before it exploded into fearsome epidemics in the 19th and 20th centuries."
Other countries have experienced it, but AFM is more prevalent in the U.S. where more than 550 Americans have been struck this decade, the oldest 32. In some cases, it started with a cold, got better, but the,n took a turn for the worse when the patient "descended into paralysis." The virus was discovered over 55 years ago, and, although not yet proven, may have mutated to become more dangerous. So far there is no cure but a vaccine is hopeful for the future.

If a vaccine is perfected and placed on the market, will we have to fight once again with these double-digit anti-vaxxers to keep them from killing their children with a new scourge of polio-like illness?
