This is an APOLOGY for Iowa's Gov, Jan Reynolds

Gov. Reynolds
Looks like I'm the idiot, not Iowa's Governor, Jan Reynolds. I chastised her for refusing to order 'Stay-at-Home' for Iowans. Turns out Dr, Anthony Fauci has praised her and the state for its great handling of the issue. Please accept my apologies Governor for you and your state.

LATEST UPDATE BOMBSHELL: Trump has finacial interest in company that makes hydroxychloroquine

Here's the headline: "Trump holds "financial interest" in pharmaceutical company that produces : NYT." And that's not all...
"some people in the president's orbit stand to profit if hydroxychloroquine is approved to treat coronavirus."
There's more...
"Some associates of Mr. Trump's have financial interests in the issue. Sanofi's [hydroxychloroquine maker] largest shareholders include Fisher Asset Management, the mutual fund company run by Ken Fisher, a major donor to Republicans, including Mr. Trump."
It never fails with Donald Trump. There is always a profit angle, aimed in his direction, in everything he does like this. Pathetic!   READ MORE...

UPDATE: Surprise...Donald Trump intervened with India and the country agreed to continue to ship hydroxychloroquine. Would this have anything to do with the fact that T-rump owns interest in the drug maker? Beyond pathetic!

Hydroxychloroquine covered by Dr. Fauci

Is hydroxychloroquine the miracle drug Donald Trump is making it?...

Dr. Fauci puts potential drug use in perspective...

Donald Trump has touted hydroxychloroquine used to treat malaria for COVID-19, but Dr. Anthony Fauci says it is only anecdotal. Just for grins I looked up the term and here is the definition of anecdotal...
"An adjective, (of an account) not necessarily true or reliable, because it is based on personal accounts rather than facts or research."
Plain and simple, it is not yet approved to treat coronavirus, based on lengthy scientific studies. In a pandemic, do you have time for lengthy scientific studies? While the answer to that is probably no, if you do proceed without adequate studies with proven results, are you ready for after and side-effects that could be deadly? That's what the FDA is for, to approve any medication like this going on the market, but not doing so until credible scientists have given the go-ahead.

And we're not there yet, but already there is activity in New York on the drug...
"A [New York] state Health Department official said the DOH has shipped doses of hydroxychloroquine to 56 hospitals across New York, distributing enough “to treat 4,000 patients to date.”
Reported by the New York Post, "Patients have received doses as part of four- or 10-day regimens, officials said." Here's the scenario...
"The University of Albany’s School of Public Health is observing the drug’s impact on the patients, and its preliminary study could come back in weeks instead of the usual months, officials said."
Trump blocks Dr. Fauci's answer on "anecdotal" hydroxychloroquine...

Clinical trials are being conducted and there is hope there will be results in just weeks, rather than the usual months' wait. The following is new to me but, “Currently, there is no proven way to prevent COVID-19 after being exposed,” So...
“If hydroxychloroquine provides protection, then it could be an essential tool for fighting this pandemic. If it doesn’t, then people should avoid unnecessary risks from taking the drug.”
The drugs current use is "to treat malaria, rheumatoid arthritis and lupus." And here is why the expert, Dr. Fauci wants to restrict hydroxychloroquine's wide distribution...
"Its potential side effects include everything from fatal heart arrhythmia to vision loss, ear-ringing, vomiting, mood changes, skin rashes and hair loss."
Gov. Andrew Cuomo on New York testing hydroxychloroquine and other similar drugs...

That, most would agree, is a good reason for reluctance to actively push the drug just yet. Apparently no one thinks the it will be a “miracle drug” for COVID-19, but the world is desperately looking for anything to fight this virus. There is a protocol for the studies being done in New York...
"Each day during the 14-day period and then again on Day 28, the participants will swab their nasal passages and send the samples to researchers to detect potential COVID-19 infection.
“'If everything goes as planned, the eight-week trial could provide answers by summer on whether a preventive dose of the drug is safe and effective,’' NYU Langone said in a release."
The question, of course, is whether Dr. Fauci will still consider the evidence anecdotal, and if so, will it proceed to limited use, with or without the expert? My gut tells me that, if after the summer period when the study results are in, which are not yet really as scientific as Fauci requires, there will be an all-out war between the factions and guess who will win. And it won't be the American public.

Jared Kushner: "You’re not qualified to do anything, said Seth Meyers"

The above is the statement of Late Night host Seth Meyers who apparently echoes the feelings of most of the country...

Seth Meyers on Jared Kushner...

The incompetency of Jared Kushner was picked up by most of the late night shows, who roasted Donald Trump's son-in law like the turkey he is. Myers also said to Kushner...

"You’re a nepotism case, and you only got the White House job because you married into the family, and because the security guards believed your fake ID.’
This was Seth Meyers trademark 'Closer Look" where he revealed...
the dire shortage of ventilators and the negligent federal response, advised by Donald Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, to address the problem. "We have a situation where states are begging for life-saving ventilators and the Trump team is in disarray,” Meyers explained.
Mandel Ngan/AFP via Getty Images)
Trio of ignorance
Here's a headline that should bring Trump/Kushner supporters to their knees: "Trump’s ignorant son-in-law is running the coronavirus response. That’s unacceptable." This is the guy who has your life in his hands being in charge of controlling an out of control disease, and supposing to keep you safe, but isn't. This is more from WP...

"Why is Kushner, as utterly ignorant and unqualified for this task as he is for all the other ones he has been assigned, even remotely involved with the government’s effort to deal with one of the most profound challenges the United States has ever faced?"
A question that can only be answered by the idiot who named Kushner to the post, nepotism's greatest practitioner, Donald Trump. WP adds...

"Was it not enough that he was told to solve the opioid crisis and achieve Middle East peace, inevitably failing at both? Is he the person whose help we need right now?"
Jared Kushner just before taking over COVID-19 program...

RawStory has a commentary piece that lists the "4 most stunning revelations about Jared Kushner’s ever-growing role in Trump’s coronavirus response." All four are interesting but here is the most "stunning"...
"Kushner reportedly told Trump that Andrew Cuomo was exaggerating the need for ventilations in New York State — whereas Anthony Fauci agrees with Cuomo"
Here is the current status of the state's and the city's COVID-19 situation reported by New York magazine...
"As of midday Sunday, there have been more than 122,000 confirmed cases of the coronavirus discovered in New York, including more than 67,500 in New York City. At least 4,159 people with COVID-19 have died in the state, which has the largest number — around 40 percent — of confirmed cases in the U.S."
One of the first things Kushner said after being appointed to head up Trump's coronavirus team was: “What a lot of the voters are seeing now is that when you elect somebody ... think about who will be a competent manager during the time of crisis.” Obviously this reeks of irony, prompting this from WP...
"Yes, President Trump’s voters, along with those who elected the similarly ignorant and slothful Republican governors in Florida and Georgia who failed to act promptly to stem the coronavirus, should remember that next time. Better to elect someone like California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) or Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine (R) rather than someone continually pandering to Trump, resisting readily available scientific advice and attacking the media."
Don't talk like that about my idiot son-in-law...

 Image result for trump kushner

But, here's the kicker, the Health & Human Services (HHS) had to change its website to agree with a false statement Kushner said. Here's his statement...
“And the notion of the federal stockpile was it’s supposed to be our stockpile,” Kushner said. “It’s not supposed to be states’ stockpiles that they then use.”

The HHS website in fact said...
“Strategic National Stockpile is the nation’s largest supply of life-saving pharmaceuticals and medical supplies for use in a public health emergency severe enough to cause local supplies to run out.” It continued to say, "When state, local, tribal, and territorial responders request federal assistance to support their response efforts, the stockpile ensures that the right medicines and supplies get to those who need them most during an emergency.”
And that, folks, is the guy appointed to get us through the coronavirus pandemic. Behind whom is the idiot elected to keep this county safe, no matter what, none other than Donald Trump who appointed the other moron. Not sure which is worse, the Trump family or the COVID-19 pandemic.

More on this imbecile coming!

Iowa Governor an idiot-A black eye for this state

Iowa's normal common sense vanishes in the case of Gov. Reynolds...

Gov. Reynolds, the culprit
Iowa's Governor Kim Reynolds isn't alone in resisting Dr. Fauci's recommendation that with the recent activity in COVID-19, the public should consider self-isolating for the sake of protecting themselves and others, Other states deciding against are, in the South and Midwest...
"Arkansas, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota have all resisted issuing any kind of stay at home orders, while Wyoming, Utah, Oklahoma and South Carolina have only issued orders in part of their states."
She is no doubt following the lead of her leader, Donald Trump, as the ring in her nose is tightened regularly. Here's Reynolds reasoning in answer to Fauci...
“I would say to him, does he recognize the fact that we have closed down schools and we’ve actually done that through (April) 30?” Reynolds said. “Is he aware of the various businesses that have been closed, restaurants and bars, through April 30 that we have implemented and no social gatherings of more than 10 people? That we have added additional closures to the orders that I have put in place based on data and metrics that we daily look at and move forward.”
I would say to her, it is downright dumb to think limiting congregating groups to ten will help when it only takes one with the virus to infect others. Reynolds has poor judgment and should not be running a state. Iowa should get rid of her along with Sen. Joni Ernst ASAP!   READ MORE...

CORONAVIRUS WEEKLY UPDATE

Here's your COVID-19 news in brief...

"Coronavirus pandemic 'far from over' in Asia, WHO warns"...
"The Covid-19 pandemic is “far from over” in Asia, the World Health Organization has warned, as the number of coronavirus deaths in the US surpassed those in China for the first time."
"Trump accused of ‘fanatic cruelty’ after refusing to reopen Affordable Care Act enrollment to help uninsured during pandemic." This, as millions of people across the United States lose their jobs and insurance.

Trump won't reopen Obamacare...

"According to a report from the Washington Post, major media outlets are choosing to take a pass on attending Donald Trump’s daily press conferences because they have proven to be news-free and there is no sense exposing their reporters to the possibility of getting sick."
"New Jersey parents charged with child endangerment for holding party with around 50 guests..."
Police had to break up party of "40 and 50 people, including their children, who were outside their home Sunday despite a state ban on such gatherings, authorities said."

"SUPPORT FOR MEDICARE FOR ALL IN U.S. SURGES AMID CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC, NEW POLL SHOWS." Hello, Bernie!

What alcoholics are doing in isolation...

"With Meetings Banned, Millions Struggle to Stay Sober On Their Own." Alcoholics must look elsewhere for help. READ THIS ARTICLE!

"Here's a look at what states are exempting religious gatherings from stay at home orders." Placing religion before people's lives. Freedom of religion does not include emergencies like this. Pray at home!

The religious who refuse to self-isolate...

"Trump’s tribe of wacko supporters have spiraled out of control — and now they’re a major threat to public health and safety." This just proves how many people in this country are fruitcake crackpots. Put 'em in concentration camps so they can kill each other.

"Experts warn as many as 1 in 3 coronavirus test results may be incorrectly negative." People are getting false negatives": "it means that people who've been reassured they are not contagious are likely going forth and spreading the disease to others." Just great, thanks again to Donald Trump.

"Secret Service places $45,000 ’emergency order’ for golf carts in town with Trump property during pandemic." This clearly points out where the White House maniac's priorities are.

Trump needs golf carts while people die...

"‘Deadly ignorance’: Georgia GOP governor slammed for falsely claiming ‘we didn’t know’ asymptomatic people can transmit coronavirus." Why are we surprised? He's a Republican.

"The American South has resisted social distancing measures — and we’ll all pay the price." Being from the South, I know they can be slow, but this time it's unacceptable.

"Maddow reports Florida governor is letting ‘coronavirus-denialist megachurch guy’ hold huge services." What do you expect? Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is a Republican.

"Coronavirus job losses likely cost 3.5 million people their health insurance too." At the same time, The Oval Office lunatic closes down new Obamacare signups. Pathetic!

The status of health insurance...

Insurance tied to a person's employment has taken a huge hit with the millions of layoffs. The system is in grave danger of collapsing altogether, if Congress doesn't step in to help. Yeah...sure.
"Experts warn of mental health fallout from mass US unemployment."...
With the "catastrophic rise in unemployment following the forced shutdown of businesses across the country to stop the spread of Covid-19 – and experts are warning it could trigger a severe mental health crisis."
Donald Trump in denial over COVID-19 one month ago...

America has no federal response to this crisis."...
"In times of crisis — from wars to natural disasters to recessions — Americans have looked to the federal government to step up and lead the national effort to confront the challenge.
"In the face of the coronavirus pandemic, our federal government, led by Donald Trump, has essentially abdicated its traditional role of spearheading a coordinated response."
"Trump’s biggest 2020 pitch disintegrates." I read this as an assurance that no matter what Democrat runs against him in November, he or she will defeat T-rump.

"No, the coronavirus is not an ‘equalizer--Black people are being infected and dying at higher rates." This is due primarily to shelter-in-place orders and other painful government restrictions, including segregation and mass incarceration for black people.

Donald Trump cannot keep staff

The White House is a swinging door of people being fired and leaving, with new schmucks coming through the door regularly to support Donald Trump's ineptness...

Politico reports, "Trump fires intelligence communitywatchdog who defied him on whistleblower complaint." This is the intelligence community’s chief watchdog, Michael Atkinson. who alerted Congress last September about Trump’s communications with the Ukraine president, Volodymyr Zelensky. Here's the response from the left...
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said Atkinson’s ouster was evidence that Trump “fires people for telling the truth.”
The revolving door is only a small part of the story. The real focus here is on truth, something Donald Trump's White House does not believe in. Therefore, if you choose to be truthful about the Oval Office lunatic, 'yer out!' Pathetic!

Trump ignores latest economic figures-No recession

This is the first in a long-overdue series of posts on Donald Trump, 'CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?' because of the stupidity this man comes out with on a daily basis...
Here's the headline: "‘It’s not like we have a massive recession or worse,’" says Trump after millions [10 to date] lose their jobs." He follows it with, “It’s artificial because we turned it off,” whatever the hell that means, yet of little consolation to those 10 million. The job losses were just in a two-week period last month, With the jobs gone also came a loss of employer-provided health insurance. Listen to this...
“Oh thank God, for a second I thought I was actually unemployed and not just artificially unemployed,” one Twitter user quipped in response to the president’s comments.
Mnuchin with his gang of incompetents
And Cody Fenwick from AlterNet provides this headline: "Why ‘mind-blowing’ new unemployment numbers are worse than they look — and the Trump administration could bungle the recovery." Fenwick is being gracious in describing Donald Trump's likely response to the problem as "could;" it is likely a given. And with Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin in the loop. there is a double guarantee it will be botched up. Fenwick explains...
"These gargantuan levels of need outpace any other economic downturn on record in U.S. history, and horrifyingly, they understate the problem because of all the people out of work who aren’t applying for unemployment.'
Gita Gopanath, Chief Economist of International Monetary Fund...

There's more...
"Worse yet, while Congress has passed a massive 2.2 trillion package, known as the CARES Act, meant to soften the blow for families and businesses, it appears the Trump administration may not be up to the challenge of distributing these funds efficiently enough to avoid much of the coming financial pain."
Raising once again, but this time at a point of almost no return, the incompetence of Donald Trump as the leader of this nation. Here's an illustration...

 View image on Twitter

Heidi Shierholz of the Economic Policy Institute said, “This kind of upending of the labor market in such a short time is unheard of.” Of course it is due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but it is Donald Trump that let coronavirus get completely out of control in the United States. And yet still continues to interfere. Pathetic.

'Stay at Home' conflict between Dr. Fauci and Trump

Donald Trump continues his initial posture of denial and refusal to act on the coronavirus crisis by refusing to heed the expert's advice, Dr. Fauci, to issue 'Stay at Home Order'...

Dr. Anthony Fauci
Dr. Fauci, always in the middle

Dr. Andrew Fauci appeared on CNN with Anderson Cooper, who asked the question, "Knowing the science, does it make sense to you that some states are still not issuing stay at home orders?" The states that do not comply are: Alabama, Arkansas, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah and Wyoming. Cooper thought it should be a scientific decision, not political; Fauci agreed, didn't know why Trump hasn't acted.

See my post from yesterday, "Some COVID-19 deaths fault of GOP Governors."

Dr. Fauci can't understand why no 'Stay at Home' order...

Back to ground zero with the Oval Office lunatic who is still more concerned with the health of big business than the health of the American people, those who elected him. Then Fauci commented...
"The tension between federally mandated versus states rights to do what they want is something I don't want to get into. But if you look at what's going on in this country, I just don't understand why we're not doing that. We really should be."
In a recent statement T-rump said...
"that he has no plans to issue a national stay at home order. Trump said he believed the decision should be left up to governors since the virus affects each state differently."
And while all this is going on, Americans are dying.

Some COVID-19 deaths Republican governors responsibility

HEADLINE: "Republican governors ‘slower’ to adopt coronavirus restrictions — causing ‘significant’ harm: study." Always conservatives who don't care about average Americans...

Clueless Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis
It is assumed "significant" can only refer to more coronavirus cases, thus, more deaths from the virus in these GOP states. Here's how it started, according to Salon writer, Igor Derysh...
"Republican governors were slower to implement social distancing restrictions to combat the spread of the new coronavirus and these delays are expected to result in “significant” consequences, according to a study by researchers at the University of Washington."
And then...
"President Donald Trump spent much of January, February and early March downplaying the threat posed by the coronavirus, which resulted in a stark partisan split among Republicans and Democrats on social distancing and public health warnings. That split appears to have extended to the top levels of government as some Republican governors have rejected calls to shut down non-essential businesses to contain the virus."
Finally...
"The University of Washington study found that states with Republican governors and states with “more Trump supporters” were “slower to adopt social distancing policies” by an average of nearly three days than their blue-state counterparts."
Rachel Maddow says stay at home...

And don't think that because the time distances between are short, that's no big deal, because it is a very big deal...
"the researchers warned that 'these delays are likely to produce significant, on-going harm to public health.'”
The clueless governor seen in the picture under the headline is Florida Governor Ron DrSantis...
"a Republican with close ties to Trump, [who] came under fire after he was slow to respond to images of packed beaches and hordes of spring break revelers while other states imposed lockdowns."
Virus Outbreak Arizona
More clueless, AZ Gov. Doug Ducey
It's all about protecting business, not the average American, who suffers the wrath of the problem in this case, coronavirus. A good example is Arizona's governor, Doug Ducey, another puppet of Donald Trump...here's the headline:

"After Grassroots Uprising, AZ Governor Issues Stay-At-Home Order To Prevent Spread Of COVID-19." The Douglas dufus approach...
"In recent weeks, some 30 states have issued “shelter-in-place” orders and some are even discouraging visits by out-of-towners from high infection locales like New York City. Gov. Ducey, a Republican, took the opposite approach."
Which was...
"On March 23, Ducey issued an executive order prohibiting any county, city or town from issuing any order or regulation “restricting persons from leaving their home due to the COVID-19 public health emergency.” Ducey’s order prevented local municipalities from issuing shelter-in-place regulations."
A mirror of Donald Trump's stupidity when this moron is dealing with "1.3 million residents aged 65 and above," the very group most vulnerable. It took a 200,000 signature petition to get Ducey to do the right thing. And then he exempts Beauty Salons he considers essential businesses as well as churches and religious gatherings. Salon workers disagree and letting people gather for religious events is even more preposterous. Adding to that, Ducey's emergency management director resigned due to disagreements with the governor.

Jay Inslee.
Washington state Gov. Jay Inslee

The Week says "Washington Gov. Jay Inslee is what real coronavirus leadership looks like."  The article thinks New York Governor Andrew Cuomo "royally messed up the coronavirus outbreak, and the country should look to Jay Inslee's "crisis leadership" for direction. Also blamed for irresponsibility is New York Mayor Bill de Blasio. The article spends too much time on the shortcomings of New York, but finally gets to Inslee's Washington...
"Washington state, despite being the site of the earliest cluster of confirmed cases in the U.S., has contained its outbreak better than any state, and many other sub-national regions as well. This simply must be because Governor Inslee started testing earlier, implemented clampdown measures earlier, and tightened them earlier."
Excellent treatment by The Week, and I urge you to read the piece in its entirety.

COVID-19 good information!

This is excellent COVID-19 material that spells out how you should deal with the coronavirus pandemic that will help you prevent catching the virus. It comes from physician Irene Ken, whose daughter is an Asst. Prof in infectious diseases at Johns Hopkins University.

* The virus is not a living organism, but a protein molecule (DNA) covered by a protective layer of lipid (fat), which, when absorbed by the cells of the ocular, nasal or buccal mucosa, changes their genetic code (mutation) and convert them into aggressor and multiplier cells.

> * Since the virus is not a living organism but a protein molecule, it is not killed, but decays on its own.  The disintegration time depends on the temperature, humidity and type of material where it lies.
> * The virus is very fragile;  the only thing that protects it is a thin outer layer of fat.  That is why any soap or detergent is the best remedy, because the foam CUTS the FAT (that is why you have to rub so much: for 20 seconds or more, to make a lot of foam).
> By dissolving the fat layer, the protein molecule disperses and breaks down on its own.
> * HEAT melts fat;  this is why it is so good to use water above 25 degrees Celsius for washing hands, clothes and everything.  In addition, hot water makes more foam and that makes it even more useful.
> * Alcohol or any mixture with alcohol over 65% DISSOLVES ANY FAT, especially the external lipid layer of the virus.
> * Any mix with 1 part bleach and 5 parts water directly dissolves the protein, breaks it down from the inside.
> * Oxygenated water helps long after soap, alcohol and chlorine, because peroxide dissolves the virus protein, but you have to use it pure and it hurts your skin.
> * NO BACTERICIDE OR ANTIBIOTIC SERVES. The virus is not a living organism like bacteria; antibodies cannot kill what is not alive.
> * NEVER shake used or unused clothing, sheets or cloth.  While it is glued to a porous surface, it is very inert and disintegrates only
> -between 3 hours (fabric and porous),
> -4 hours (copper and wood)
> -24 hours (cardboard),
> - 42 hours (metal) and
> -72 hours (plastic).
> But if you shake it, or use a feather duster, the virus molecules float in the air for up to 3 hours, and can lodge in your nose.
> * The virus molecules remain very stable in external cold, or artificial as air conditioners in houses and cars.
> They also need moisture to stay stable, and especially darkness.  Therefore, dehumidified, dry, warm and bright environments will degrade it faster.
> * UV LIGHT on any object that may contain it breaks down the virus protein.  For example, to disinfect and reuse a mask is perfect.  Be careful, it also breaks down collagen (which is protein) in the skin.
> * The virus CANNOT go through healthy skin.
> * Vinegar is NOT useful because it does not break down the protective layer of fat.
> * NO SPIRITS, NOR VODKA, work.  The strongest vodka is 40% alcohol, and you need 65%.
> * LISTERINE, IF IT SERVES!  It is 65% alcohol.
> * The more confined the space, the more concentration of the virus there can be.  The more open or naturally ventilated, the less concentration.
> * You have to wash your hands before and after touching mucosa, food, locks, knobs, switches, remote control, cell phone, watches, computers, desks, TV, etc.  And when using the bathroom…
> * You have to HUMIDIFY HANDS DRY from so much washing them, because the molecules can hide in the micro cracks.  The thicker the moisturizer, the better!
> * Also keep your NAILS SHORT so that the virus does not hide there.

Thanks to Kathleen Ciula's excellent research for this information.

Dr. Fauci threatened from Trump far right

Dr. Andrew Fauci gets threats from Trump far-right followers-Needs "enhanced personal security...

Image result for dr. fauci bowing head to trump
Dr. Fauci just can't believe what he is hearing

These morons think Dr. Fauci is, "trying to undermine Mr. Trump during a year in which the president is fighting for re-election," according to a piece in the New York Times...
"Alex M. Azar II, the health and human services secretary, had grown worried that the threats against the doctor were increasing as more of the country shut down in response to the coronavirus."
Dr. Fauci has been director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases since 1984, and is heading up the fight against coronavirus and in charge of developing a vaccine to fight the virus. He is trying to save lives when these idiots threatening him are worried their Oval Office lunatic won't be reelected in November to continue his reign of insanity. One faction even hilariously said Dr. Fauci's rules threatened their masculinity.

Here's an example of the gang's ludicrous suspicions that Fauci is trying to undermine Trump...
"was fueled in part by a moment during a news briefing in which Dr. Fauci dropped his head and touched his forehead as the president was speaking. The image went viral online and right-wing supporters of Mr. Trump cited it as evidence that Dr. Fauci sought to undercut the president."
No, it is simply because he can't believe what the idiot standing next to him is saying.

Trio of Top Republicans won't take COVID-19 responsibility

The 3 Musketeers, Mike Pence, Moscow Mitch McConnell and including T-rump himself, trying to shift the blame from the Oval Office lunatic for the COVID-19 CRISIS to the CDC and China and the Democrats impeachment action...

Image result for trump mcconnell pence
Pence, McConnell, Trump
It has been so clear to everyone that Donald Trump's early denials, and generally slow response to the coronavirus epidemic that eventually turned into a pandemic, is an established fact. This includes defective tests, not maintaining the proper supplies to fight the virus, and not getting testing started. He failed in all three, even more, and the United States now accounts for highest case and death figures in the world. At one time he called it a Democratic hoax.

A month ago when Mike Pence promised "risk of COVID-19 remains low"...

The latest figures show 211,408 cases in the U.S., 4,718 deaths, and 8,805 have recovered. The breakdown in the above link also shows results from each state and other factors in the crisis. It is a fact that the media has been covering this since the beginning and the blame according to all I have read--except, of course, some Fox News misinformation--is there is no doubt the person responsible was and is Donald Trump.

Remember the early stages when the Oval Office lunatic was more concerned about the economy than the virus and just last week, indicated he wanted to end social distancing to 'save the economy...
“America will again, and soon, be open for business,” President Donald Trump said on Monday. “Very soon. A lot sooner than three or four months that somebody was suggesting. A lot sooner. We cannot let the cure be worse than the problem itself.”
Ah, we have a new term, "We cannot let the cure be worse than the problem itself.” There's more...
"The cure, in this case, is social distancing, and the mass economic stoppage it forces. The problem is Covid-19, and the millions of deaths it could cause. On Tuesday, Trump accelerated his timeline. He said he’d like to see normalcy return by Easter Sunday, which is April 12. 'Wouldn’t it be great to have all the churches full?' he asked. 'You’ll have packed churches all over our country.'”
Just what we need, more packed "anything" with people who can spread the virus and just substantiate further that the United States leads the world in coronavirus cases and deaths. Vox reported, "Public health experts reacted with horror,' as should anyone with common sense. But Pelosi said it best: "Trump and McConnell 'should not try to hide behind' impeachment excuse over."  She added...
"I think that's an admission that perhaps the President and the majority leader cannot handle the job,"
Yes, an admission, and a confirmed fact.
