Dopey Republicans said...Credible scientists said...

This is an argument that scientists and the healthcare community cannot afford to lose...

Image result for donald trump i am king

Here we have one of those stupid arguments that have become commonplace since Donald Trump settled in the White House. The plausible and rational side and the Trump side. leaving the American public in the middle to suffer, some die, from a virus the Oval Office lunatic should have been on the top of from the beginning (having been advised of the potential pandemic on January 18) but clearly has not been. Two months of doing nothing.

Republicans are telling T-rump it should have happened yesterday, referring to the opening of the economy. Credible scientists have shown in a study that, "Social distancing measures may be necessary until 2022 to contain coronavirus pandemic." Okay, there is a middle ground here somewhere and I'll bet the scientific community is more willing to negotiate than are Trump and his minions. Here are the findings...
"In the study, published in the journal Science Tuesday, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health researchers projected that several smaller outbreaks of COVID-19 could follow the more severe pandemic.
"They determined that prolonged periods of social distancing may be necessary in order to control transmission and prevent health care facilities from becoming overwhelmed."
Good illustration of COVID-19 SPREAD...

Obviously it will require a widespread educational program that Donald Trump is no doubt incapable of handling but could be implemented by those in healthcare who know what they are doing. Dr. Anthony Fauci would not be the right leader as long as he is under the thumb of T-rump. Scientists should form their own group like the Democratic governors have done to do their own thing, refusing to let Donald Trump interfere.

This is the case from the right, which you have to understand has no concern for the average American's health but is thinking only of starting up a lagging economy for just one reason, to win the November election...
"President Donald Trump is itching to reopen the economy amid the coronavirus pandemic. And congressional Republicans are mostly giving him the green light — and in some cases, leaning on him to speed up.
"As Trump alternately agonizes over when to push states to reopen and browbeats governors with questionable claims of his superior authority, GOP lawmakers are urging federal guidance that quickly restarts some industries and begins to roll back unprecedented closures of vast swaths of the United States."
There are 24 states with Democratic governors and considering the recent "mutiny," as Trump described it, they plan to do the right thing with their states no matter what the White House maniac says. Naturally, the good guys, and gals, are rooting for the scientists and the governors.

Healthcare workers infected cannot get COVID-19 testing

This is why CNN and MSNBC labeled Trump's coronavirus briefings propaganda...

New York city healthcare workers protesting
In T-rump's Monday briefing, he said figures of infected healthcare workers would be made available. They have not been because "that total currently remains impossible to pin down." BuzzFeedNews also tells us...
"That’s both because health care workers are still struggling to access testing for COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, if not being actively discouraged to do so, and because infections are being inconsistently tracked and in some cases uncounted at the state level."
And it gets much worse...
"At least 5,400 nurses, doctors, and other health care workers responding to the coronavirus outbreak in the United States have been infected by the disease, and dozens have died, according to a BuzzFeed News review of data reported by every state and Washington, DC. However, the true number is undoubtedly much higher, due to inconsistent testing and tracking."
MSNBC cuts off Trump COVID-19 briefing for airing Trump propaganda only...

And here's a Florida worker's experience...
"After my shift, I was told we no longer can use two plastic gowns (1 for front and 1 for back), now the back one is replaced with a trash bag," a staffer in a Florida intensive care unit, who declined to be identified for fear of retaliation, told BuzzFeed News. 'This is getting ridiculous.'"
The entire dilemma can be attributed to Donald Trump's late start in seriously addressing COVID-19, and the his and his staff's incompetence in handling the operation since. Trump was notified of the potential severity of the coronavirus and the potential of a pandemic on January 18, by Alex Azar, Secretary of Health and Human Services. First, the Oval Office lunatic considered it a hoax, then for a period of time he blamed it on Democrats. This lasted into March.

BuzzFeedNews has documented activity on healthcare workers in all states and you can find yours here. But, as an example, the first state up, Alabama...
"So far, 393 health care workers have tested positive for COVID-19, or nearly 15% of confirmed cases in the state."
According to The Commonwealth Fund the United States ranks last in the protection of its healthcare workers compared with six other industrialized countries: Australia, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. This is based on measures of quality, efficiency, access to care, equity, and the ability to lead long, healthy, and productive lives, according to a new Commonwealth Fund report. A pathetic position for our country to be in.

Who wins the battle opening country? Govs or Trump

There are twenty-four Democratic governors in the U.S. I would place my trust in far more than depending on Donald Trump to act in opening this country from the coronavirus shutdown...

Donald Trump

Democrats like Washington's Jay Inslee of Washington, Andrew Cuomo of New York. Then you have those deadbeat Republican governors like Arizona's Doug Ducey and Florida's Ron DeSantis, who grovel in Trump's demands that determine every move they make. The entire right is scared to death of the Oval Office lunatic, therefore, no confidence can be placed in their decisions. But the Democrats, while screwed up in Congress, seem competent at the state level.

Here's the Washington Post's evaluation of how a Republican government is handling the dilemma...
“It’s mind-boggling, actually, the degree of disorganization,” said Tom Frieden, former Centers for Disease Control and Prevention director. The federal government has already squandered February and March, he noted, committing “epic failures” on testing kits, ventilator supply, protective equipment for health workers and contradictory public health communication. The next failure is already on its way, Frieden said, because “we’re not doing the things we need to be doing in April.”
Watch Trump wiggle and squirm for the truth that eludes him...

Meanwhile, the White House maniac, feeling deprived of his tyrannical powers, has begun to spew a new litany of rules that could only be contrived in a mentally handicapped mind like his...
"President Donald Trump insisted Monday that he alone could declare the United States reopen for business, continuing a contradictory line of messaging toward the nation’s governors as they have taken on greater responsibilities to combat the coronavirus pandemic in the face of federal inaction."
“For the purpose of creating conflict and confusion, some in the Fake News Media are saying that it is the Governors decision to open up the states, not that of the President of the United States & the Federal Government. Let it be fully understood that this is incorrect,” Trump wrote on Twitter.
Governors to reopen economy
And there was more...
“It is the decision of the President, and for many good reasons. With that being said, the Administration and I are working closely with the Governors, and this will continue,” he added in another tweet, previewing that a “decision by me, in conjunction with the Governors and input from others, will be made shortly!”
He and his administration aren't doing crap, and this is obvious from where we stand today as the country with the highest number of COVID-19 cases and deaths in the entire world. Donald Trump was told of the threat of the disease by Health Secretary Alex Azar on January 18, of this year. He was dismissed by the top idiot as an alarmist. And this is why our country is in such a chaotic condition because Trump won't listen to anyone.

But he will announce "his second coronavirus task force" after the first obviously didn't work. In the meantime, legal scholars, the experts this dufus won't listen to, say "the federal government lacks the power to directly order states to reopen their economies." The Democratic governors most likely have had this advice from their legal team, thus, will act as a group and get the job done while the moron muddles in the disorder of his anarchy.

Former president Barack Obama warned of pandemic back in 2014...

Here's our former president's take...
On Wednesday, former president Barack Obama weighed in, tweeting, “Social distancing bends the curve and relieves some pressure … But in order to shift off current policies, the key will be a robust system of testing and monitoring — something we have yet to put in place nationwide.”
This is one of those 'can you believe it' questions; having known the pandemic was coming since January 18, we still don't have adequate testing for coronavirus in the most technologically advanced country in the world. Almost three months have passed by the end of March only 320,000 tests were done and in comparison to So. Korea, something Trump regularly refers to, the U.S. has...
"conducted far fewer tests per capita given the US population is more than six times larger than South Korea's."
The question is what's going on in the Trump administration?...
"A Nature.com investigation of several university labs certified to test for the virus finds that they have been held up by regulatory, logistic and administrative obstacles, and stymied by the fragmented US health-care system."
Anywhere you go looking for reasons or ant logic to why the COVID-19 situation is so screwed up in the United States, the arrow always points to Donald Trump in the White House and his also incompetent minions who continue to adore this blockhead. Pathetic!
