Not a way to initially detect the virus, but a way to determine if you were asymptomatic--had it but didn't know it--therefore, now immune to the disease...
Anti-body test - A simple prick in the finger
Don't start striking up the band, nor don't panic over what you hear or read about anti-bodies; it is really very simple. Some people did not have any symptoms, but in fact did have a mild case of coronavirus they did not recognize at the time. Anti-bodies were created to give them an immunity to the disease. That's it. The CDC reports test results could be ready in a week, saying this group can go back to work if they are found non-infectious. Here's a sidebar...
"As officials begin discussing what it would take for the US to reopen, there could be "merit" to the idea of Americans carrying certificates of immunity that prove they have tested positive for coronavirus antibodies, Fauci said."
This is not a test to determine of you currently have COVID-19, something not yet available, but rather to find out if you have established an immunity. The New York Times reports...
"From 25 to 50 percent of people who become infected may never develop symptoms, and some may become only mildly ill. Others may have known they were sick, but could not get tested."
Dr. Fauci explains anti-body testing...
This could be a boon to putting healthcare workers back to work since they are no longer contagious and cannot themselves be reinfected. Here's the scenario...
"The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently announced that it would begin using antibody tests to see what proportion of the population has already been infected. On Friday [Apr. 10], the National Institutes of Health announced it would test 10,000 healthy volunteers around the country for the presence of antibodies.
It is unknown at this point how much Dr. Anthony Fauci had to fight Donald Trump to get this done.

This time we have Atty. General Wm. Barr to thank for Trump administration stupidity...
Here's the headline: "AG Barr denounces stay-at-home orders as ‘draconian’ — suggests Trump should reconsider social distancing guidelines at end of the month." This cloned aide has worked himself so far up Trump's rear end that he qualifies for a lower endoscopy. After almost everyone on board--except for those with double-digit IQs--this idiot appeared on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle” this week, he described them as “draconian” and implied that they were going too far."
He's on the right show for idiots and that is basically what the Fox News audience is composed of. And then he tries to play attorney general saying...
AG Barr
Barr told “Ingraham Angle” host Laura Ingraham that officials should be “very careful to make sure that the draconian measures that are being adopted are fully justified.”
AlterNet added this...
"Unlike France or Italy, the U.S. does not have a nationwide stay-at-home order. Social distancing measures and stay-at-home orders — some stricter than others — have been carried out at the state level or the local level in the U.S."
France is having noticeable results and Italy seems to be over its peak in the pandemic, but at least they are doing something concrete about the dilemma and not spending their time bragging about what they supposedly have done. Now here is a statement to the clueless Ingraham that should have closed down the show...
"The U.S. attorney general defended Trump vigorously during the interview, telling Ingraham — herself a strident defender of the president — that Trump has been unfairly attacked with 'snarky, gotcha questions from the White House media pool.' And he defended Trump’s promotion of hydroxychloroquine (which has been used to treat malaria) as a possible COVID-19 treatment."
But, then, this is the kind of crap Fox News thrives on.

Yes, we finally passed South Korea in total testing but not per-capita...
Donald Trump refuses responsibility for lousy COVID-19 testing...
Donald Trump's failure to attack the COVID-19 problem early is the nucleus of all the current problems we are experiencing with the pandemic. It was obvious from the beginning that the virus would be a serious threat to this country from what had happened in China. Any fool would know to move quickly but not T-rump. He initially claimed it was a hoax, something dreamed up by Democrats to defeat him on November. Now, there may not be a November. A big factor was testing.
"New Jersey-based Quest Diagnostics had about 160,000 coronavirus test orders waiting to be processed on March 25, which amounted to about half of the 320,000 total orders for the tests the company had received up to that date."
But, wait, the Oval Office lunatic says we have tested 2 million in the U.S., elated that we finally passed South Korea in testing. But, hold on again...
"compared to South Korea, the US has conducted far fewer tests per capita given the US population is more than six times larger than South Korea's."
Once more Donald Trump doesn't outright lie but makes the inference that he has done a great job in testing, when, in fact, testing in this country is still miserably behind where it should be. READ MORE...

Donald Trump fails miserably as U.S. quartermaster for coronavirus supplies...
Looks capable but completely inept
Washington state governor Jay Inslee has done a remarkable job of saving his state, which had been labeled as the epicenter for the COVID-19, what at that time was only an epidemic. Washington has a total of 9,342 cases, 431 deaths (59 per 1,000), but no new cases and no new deaths. It would seem that if Inslee were leading the country and not Donald Trump, the virus situation would be much better. T-rump's actions even sound downright criminal.
With coronavirus deaths approaching 15,000, medical supplies are depleting at a faster rate than they can be depleted. As the New York Times put it, it is a “signature failure,” which can only be attributed to one Donald Trump for his handling of the U.S. pandemic. Governor Inslee explains...
"how President Trump’s lack of “urgency” is directly contributing to equipment shortages hobbling response efforts — and hinted at an alarming scenario ahead."
Gov. Inslee talks about Washington's COVID-19 results...
First, the Oval Office lunatic calls it a hoax, then he blames the whole thing on Democrats before finally facing up to what was really going on. But he still doesn't get it, and is totally responsible for the current shortcomings for COVID-19. Inslee pleads for a stronger voice from the White House, but we all know there is none, only Trump's incompetence. The difficulties in procuring equipment is "inexplicable and infuriating," he says, and added,,,
"As dogged reporting has shown, the federal government’s handling of medical supply chains has left states and health-care providers scrambling in a state of confusion and without badly needed supplies."
Once again, it can all be traced back to the fact that Trump failed, "to fully deploy the Defense Production Act to marshal private sector resources." This is still a problem for Washington state, and they got an early start on the problem, simply due to White House incompetence. Here's one example, Inslee's state has one simple problem, unused testing capacity because it lacks one thing: the swabs needed to take samples. The governor complained...
“It seems ridiculous that the United States can’t produce enough swabs to solve this problem. I have 50 or 60 long-term care facilities that have infections in them that we literally have not been able to do the testing we want of remaining residents and staff.”
Adam Schiff criticizes Trump saying, "incompetence kills..."
They finally procured the swabs on their own, but now he's concerned about vials. It all boils down to, “an inadequate supply chain” that’s “grossly inadequate to the demand.” And that is...
directly traceable to “at least a month” of lost time, because “the president was downplaying this problem and had not engaged the full force of the federal government.”
And, apparently some of the problem hinges on the fact that small businesses that manufacture the needed products need help in financing the overtime due to the overall economic situation. Inslee wonders why the federal government hasn't been more active in identifying these industries who make the necessary products and make sure they get the help. He calls it a "schizophrenic approach adopted by the federal government." The term explained...
Trump initially told states they were mostly on their own, which led to a bidding war among states seeking supplies from a range of manufacturers and suppliers. Now the feds have sought to exert control over distribution, but it appears piecemeal and partial.
Inslee, again, places blame on not initiating the Defense Production Act earlier and a failure by Trump in the coordination of availability of parts. And here's a point that cannot be ignored, even when things get better with new cases and deaths on the decline, testing will be at least as important then, if not more so than now. We have to "mobilize" as does the military for war, and that is where he indicated we need a quartermaster, not a Trump, in control. READ MORE...

HEADLINE: "More US voters believe Trump is a better leader during the coronavirus outbreak than Joe Biden, according to a new poll"...
First of all, how would anyone know how Joe Biden would have handled the COVID-19 dilemma, since he had nothing to do with it so far. Second, even surmising what Biden would have done, and knowing what Trump has not done, and his blunders in the coronavirus efforts we have suffered through so far, more people choose Trump as the leader? If this is the case, and the study shows it is 44% to 36%, Trump/Biden, then the Trump double-digit supporters out there haven't learned a thing. READ MORE...

The Bern has left the race, but not the building...
Bernie's big decision
These are headlines I hoped I would never write. But it happened and this great warrior has lost too much of his support to continue. He is solidly behind Joe Biden, but said he would...
"continue to gather delegates — a move that would give him leverage to influence the Democratic platform and continue carrying his message."
We cannot afford to lose Bernie's mission, nor can we let the Progressive movement forget his primary presence. Oh, Bernie Sanders will always be there, as long as he is able to breathe and stand before a loving audience. But now is the time to stand behind likely Democratic candidate, Joe Biden, to beat Donald Trump, no matter what has to be done. Bernie sent emails to his tribe heaping thanks on all those who helped, saying...
"Together, we have transformed American consciousness as to what kind of country we can become, and have taken this country a major step forward in the never-ending struggle for economic justice, social justice, racial justice and environmental justice."
Bernie Sanders with balls
Bernie helped to turn Democratic Socialism into an understandable term to the point today that 25% of the American people embrace some form of socialism. Clearly an underdog in Wisconsin, he still recommended a stay-at-home policy due to the COVID-19 problem. Here is what he said in defiance of a clueless governor supported by a very partisan Supreme Court...
"Let's be clear: holding this election amid the coronavirus outbreak is dangerous, disregards the guidance of public health experts, and may very well prove deadly," Sanders said in a statement released Monday night.
How do I say it, I think there is a great amount of disappointment among his loyal followers, and those who have fallen by the wayside, some of it due to the interferences he has run into along the way. As an example, the tampering with the 2016 primary by then NC chair, since disgraced, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, in favor of Hillary Clinton. Many think the Vermont Senator would have beaten Donald Trump.
It was apparently the loss of an abundance of young voters that made the difference. The question is now is whether these young people now change their support to Joe Biden or, disillusioned, stay home and not vote. Somehow, we cannot allow that, and with the Bern's exit, Biden must concentrate on bringing this group back into the fold. It will require moving further to the lef,t but Joe Biden must do what is necessary to beat Donald Trump.
And here's the kicker, since Bernie Sanders is officially out of the race, this leaves prior president, Barack Obama, open to campaign for his former vice president. Here's the scenario from This week...
"Obama has refused to endorse a primary candidate since the 2020 Democratic race's jam-packed beginnings, though reports did suggest he was quietly backing Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.). Other reports suggested he wasn't thrilled about Biden getting in the race, and told Biden's campaign staff to make sure he didn't 'embarrass himself.'"
That is certainly no blessing for Joe Biden, but Barack Obama knows more than anyone just how important it is to beat Donald Trump, so I believe he will come in swinging soon. In the meantime, I plan to practice the Progressive philosophy in what I do or say, and keep the Democratic Socialist concept out there for all who want to learn. The one thing necessary today is beating the coronavirus and hopefully, Dr. Anthony Fauci will remain in control.

"who led federal relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina has joined a chorus of critics slamming President Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner for his take on tapping the national stockpile of medical equipment during the coronavirus crisis."

Because the longer these so-called “leaders” make decisions that are in the best interests of, I don’t know who, the longer it will take to come out of this pandemic that is claiming so many thousands of lives."
"Though more than 40 states have ordered nonessential businesses to close and told residents to stay home to stem the spread of the virus, supermarkets are among the retailers that remain open. Thousands of grocery employees have continued to report to work as U.S. infections and death rates continue to climb, with many reporting long shifts and extra workloads to keep up with spiking demand. Many workers say they don’t have enough protective gear to deal with hundreds of customers a day. Dozens of grocery workers have tested positive for the coronavirus in recent weeks."

UPDATE: Surprise...Donald Trump intervened with India and the country agreed to continue to shiphydroxychloroquine. Would this have anything to do with the fact that T-rump owns interest in the drug maker? Beyond pathetic!
Is hydroxychloroquine the miracle drug Donald Trump is making it?...
Dr. Fauci puts potential drug use in perspective...
Donald Trump has touted hydroxychloroquine used to treat malaria for COVID-19, but Dr. Anthony Fauci says it is only anecdotal. Just for grins I looked up the term and here is the definition of anecdotal...
"An adjective, (of an account) not necessarily true or reliable, because it is based on personal accounts rather than facts or research."
Plain and simple, it is not yet approved to treat coronavirus, based on lengthy scientific studies. In a pandemic, do you have time for lengthy scientific studies? While the answer to that is probably no, if you do proceed without adequate studies with proven results, are you ready for after and side-effects that could be deadly? That's what the FDA is for, to approve any medication like this going on the market, but not doing so until credible scientists have given the go-ahead.
And we're not there yet, but already there is activity in New York on the drug...
"A [New York] state Health Department official said the DOH has shipped doses of hydroxychloroquine to 56 hospitals across New York, distributing enough “to treat 4,000 patients to date.”
Reported by the New York Post, "Patients have received doses as part of four- or 10-day regimens, officials said." Here's the scenario...
"The University of Albany’s School of Public Health is observing the drug’s impact on the patients, and its preliminary study could come back in weeks instead of the usual months, officials said."
Trump blocks Dr. Fauci's answer on "anecdotal" hydroxychloroquine...
Clinical trials are being conducted and there is hope there will be results in just weeks, rather than the usual months' wait. The following is new to me but, “Currently, there is no proven way to prevent COVID-19 after being exposed,” So...
“If hydroxychloroquine provides protection, then it could be an essential tool for fighting this pandemic. If it doesn’t, then people should avoid unnecessary risks from taking the drug.”
The drugs current use is "to treat malaria, rheumatoid arthritis and lupus." And here is why the expert, Dr. Fauci wants to restrict hydroxychloroquine's wide distribution...
"Its potential side effects include everything from fatal heart arrhythmia to vision loss, ear-ringing, vomiting, mood changes, skin rashes and hair loss."
Gov. Andrew Cuomo on New York testing hydroxychloroquine and other similar drugs...
That, most would agree, is a good reason for reluctance to actively push the drug just yet. Apparently no one thinks the it will be a “miracle drug” for COVID-19, but the world is desperately looking for anything to fight this virus. There is a protocol for the studies being done in New York...
"Each day during the 14-day period and then again on Day 28, the participants will swab their nasal passages and send the samples to researchers to detect potential COVID-19 infection.
“'If everything goes as planned, the eight-week trial could provide answers by summer on whether a preventive dose of the drug is safe and effective,’' NYU Langone said in a release."
The question, of course, is whether Dr. Fauci will still consider the evidence anecdotal, and if so, will it proceed to limited use, with or without the expert? My gut tells me that, if after the summer period when the study results are in, which are not yet really as scientific as Fauci requires, there will be an all-out war between the factions and guess who will win. And it won't be the American public.
The above is the statement of Late Night host Seth Meyers
who apparently echoes the feelings of most of the country...
Seth Meyers on Jared Kushner...
The incompetency of Jared Kushner was picked up by most of the late night shows, who roasted Donald Trump's son-in law like the turkey he is. Myers also said to Kushner...
"You’re a nepotism case, and you only got the White
House job because you married into the family, and because the security guards
believed your fake ID.’
This was Seth Meyers trademark 'Closer Look" where he
revealed...
the dire shortage of ventilators and the negligent federal
response, advised by Donald Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, to address the
problem. "We have a situation where states are begging for life-saving
ventilators and the Trump team is in disarray,” Meyers explained.
"Why is Kushner, as utterly ignorant and unqualified
for this task as he is for all the other ones he has been assigned, even
remotely involved with the government’s effort to deal with one of the most
profound challenges the United States has ever faced?"
A question that can only be answered by the idiot who named
Kushner to the post, nepotism's greatest practitioner, Donald Trump. WP adds...
"Was it not enough that he was told to solve the opioid
crisis and achieve Middle East peace, inevitably failing at both? Is he the
person whose help we need right now?"
Jared Kushner just before taking over COVID-19 program...
"Kushner reportedly told Trump that Andrew Cuomo was
exaggerating the need for ventilations in New York State — whereas Anthony
Fauci agrees with Cuomo"
Here is the current status of the state's and the city's COVID-19 situation reported by New York magazine...
"As of midday Sunday, there have been more than 122,000
confirmed cases of the coronavirus discovered in New York, including more than
67,500 in New York City. At least 4,159 people with COVID-19 have died in the
state, which has the largest number — around 40 percent — of confirmed cases in
the U.S."
"Yes, President Trump’s voters, along with those who
elected the similarly ignorant and slothful Republican governors in Florida and
Georgia who failed to act promptly to stem the coronavirus, should remember
that next time. Better to elect someone like California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D)
or Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine (R) rather than someone continually pandering to
Trump, resisting readily available scientific advice and attacking the
media."
“And the notion of the federal stockpile was it’s supposed
to be our stockpile,” Kushner said. “It’s not supposed to be states’ stockpiles
that they then use.”
The HHS website in fact said...
“Strategic National Stockpile is the nation’s largest supply
of life-saving pharmaceuticals and medical supplies for use in a public health
emergency severe enough to cause local supplies to run out.” It continued to
say, "When state, local, tribal, and territorial responders request
federal assistance to support their response efforts, the stockpile ensures
that the right medicines and supplies get to those who need them most during an
emergency.”
And that, folks, is the guy appointed to get us through the
coronavirus pandemic. Behind whom is the idiot elected to keep this county
safe, no matter what, none other than Donald Trump who appointed the other
moron. Not sure which is worse, the Trump family or the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Arkansas, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota have all resisted issuing any kind of stay at home orders, while Wyoming, Utah, Oklahoma and South Carolina have only issued orders in part of their states."
She is no doubt following the lead of her leader, Donald Trump, as the ring in her nose is tightened regularly. Here's Reynolds reasoning in answer to Fauci...
“I would say to him, does he recognize the fact that we have closed down schools and we’ve actually done that through (April) 30?” Reynolds said. “Is he aware of the various businesses that have been closed, restaurants and bars, through April 30 that we have implemented and no social gatherings of more than 10 people? That we have added additional closures to the orders that I have put in place based on data and metrics that we daily look at and move forward.”
I would say to her, it is downright dumb to think limiting congregating groups to ten will help when it only takes one with the virus to infect others. Reynolds has poor judgment and should not be running a state. Iowa should get rid of her along with Sen. Joni Ernst ASAP! READ MORE...
