Can we wait to deal with Donald Trump mental illness until 2020?

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2019 NEWS BYTES

Just how mentally ill is Donald Trump?

YES YES YES
How many times have you heard similar headlines? "Trump Is Not Well." This is from the latest coverage by The Atlantic magazine. There is actually not much in the piece we haven't heard but it is the thorough comprehensive approach used by Peter Wehner, a Republican who has worked for Ronald Reagan and both H.W. and G.W. Bush. He opposed Donald Trump in 2016 for several reasons...

"first, I think he is temperamentally unfit to be president. I think he’s erratic, I think he’s unprincipled, I think he’s unstable, and I think that he has a personality disorder; I think he’s obsessive. And at the end of the day, having served in the White House for seven years in three administrations and worked for three presidents, one closely, and read a lot of history, I think the main requirement for president of the United States … is temperament, and disposition … whether you have wisdom and judgment and prudence.”
Whew! That pretty much nails Donald Trump to the wall, with comparisons to past presidents who may have had their faults but stood eons taller than T-rump. Wehner continues...
"Donald Trump’s disordered personality—his unhealthy patterns of thinking, functioning, and behaving—has become the defining characteristic of his presidency. It manifests itself in multiple ways: his extreme narcissism; his addiction to lying about things large and small, including his finances and bullying and silencing those who could expose them; his detachment from reality, including denying things he said even when there is video evidence to the contrary; his affinity for conspiracy theories; his demand for total loyalty from others while showing none to others; and his self-aggrandizement and petty cheating."
Dr. Lance Dodes on Trump mental illness...

In the above you can explore Peter Wehner's research on all the bizarre behavior coming from the Oval Office lunatic. "Trump Is Not Well" is a must read for anyone who wants to understand what's going on in the maniac mind that is running the most powerful nation in the world. There's more...
"It manifests itself in Trump’s impulsiveness and vindictiveness; his craving for adulation; his misogyny, predatory sexual behavior, and sexualization of his daughters; his open admiration for brutal dictators; his remorselessness; and his lack of empathy and sympathy, including attacking a family whose son died while fighting for this country, mocking a reporter with a disability, and ridiculing a former POW. (When asked about Trump’s feelings for his fellow human beings, Trump’s mentor, the notorious lawyer Roy Cohn, reportedly said, 'He pisses ice water.')"
And the tragic thing here is that there's not a damn thing we can do until he is elected out of office in 2020 with lowlife Mitch McConnell controlling the Senate and loving everything Trump does because that means Moscow Mitch can do anything he wants to do. As an Independent, I am afraid my confidence in the current state of the Democratic Party isn't such that I feel they, alone, could win the election. It will take Progressives like Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren.

Yale's Dr. Brandy Lee on Trump's mental state...

Wehner uses the NOAA/Alabama fiasco as a recent example of Donald Trump's slippage. T-rump used his marking pen--something he turned into a campaign favor--to point out on a map that Dorian would probably impact the state of Alabama. The U.S. Weather Service said no way. NOAA disputed the Weather Service, then put out an order to never contradict Trump. First, that was blamed on Sec. Commerce Wilbur Ross.

But later it was thought to come from Trump's Chief of Staff, Mick Mulvaney. Finally, we learn the order to never question Donald Trump came from, you guessed it, Donald Trump himself. Wehner makes an interesting point, "It’s said that speculating on Trump’s mental health is inappropriate and unwise, especially for those who are not formally trained in the field of psychiatry or psychology." He qualifies that with obvious observations of Donald Trump's insane actions.

Of course, there is documented evidence of psychiatric evaluation of Trump, without the actual personal examination. This was done by Dr. Brandy Lee and her team from Yale University, plus other mental health professionals. The hands down conclusion was that Donald Trump is mentally challenged. Wehner concludes with...
"Whether or not his disorders are diagnosable, the president’s psychological flaws are all too apparent. They were alarming when he took the oath of office; they are worse now. Every day Donald Trump is president is a day of disgrace. And a day of danger."
Read this article. It is terrifying.

Renown Yale psychiatrist: Muller Report proves Trump is mentally challenged

Dr. Lee and her study
A recent report by Yale psychiatrist Bandy X. Lee, a renowned expert on violence and forensic psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine, was sent to Jerrold Nadler, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee. She is also president of the World Mental Health Coalition and editor of the New York Times bestseller, “The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump: 37 Psychiatrists and Mental Health Experts Assess a President.”

It is a mental health analysis of the Mueller report "replete with information for a mental health interpretation." Lee says to Raw Story...
"Seldom do we have such voluminous information on a person’s behavior, verified at the level of sworn testimony. Hence, my colleagues and I saw this as a part of our ongoing, primary professional responsibility to protect society and to warn against potential harm to public health, as our ethics and the law require. The report is an attempt to continue educating the public."
Pretty clear we're are talking about the Donald Trump White House and his administration and already this is very scary. Lee says that the voluminous special counsel’s report "could not be more informative about mental capacity, which is what the report addresses. Mental capacity is the ability to make sound, rational, reality-based decisions free of impulsivity, recklessness, paranoia, and false beliefs." It gets scarier. Lee says further...
"A person can have a severe mental illness, for example, but be receiving proper treatment and function perfectly well—the presence of mental illness really says nothing about job performance. On the other hand, someone may not have a mental illness but still be incompetent and lacking in the basic capacities to do a job."
And for those who question no one-on-one between Lee and Trump...
"For a functional exam, a personal interview is not as important as observations by the person’s coworkers and colleagues of one’s actual performance, and this is why the special counsel’s report is so valuable."
Raw story wanted to know what the report said...
"Our report is quite damning. What the special counsel’s report revealed, through consistent and abundant data, was a pervasive and profound pattern of lack of capacity."
Folks, Dr. Lee is talking about the man who sits in the Oval Office, in control of the most powerful country in the world. Just scarier and scarier. More snippets of her findings...
lack of basic comprehension--faulty information processing--lack of sound decision making--behavior that places oneself or others in danger
Lee adds: "These are crucial failures in the basic components of mental capacity test, which in his [Donald Trump] position constitute a medical emergency that requires a response." There's much more in the Raw Story report and I recommend that you read it. What is clear here is the fact that Donald Trump may not be competent to serve as President of the United States and should be required to have a complete psychiatric examination at once.

Donald Trump appointees continue to cause headaches

Steve Bannon was bad enough with his racist, woman hating, white nationalist positions when joining Donald Trump following a stint with one of the most bigoted publications in America, Breitbart News. In an earlier post I reported Bloomberg News saying Bannon is most dangerous political operative in America. Later post, his "darkness is good" statement reiterates the fact that he is racist, sexist and anti-Semitic. But Michael Flynn sounds even scarier.

Retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn was picked to be Donald Trump's national security adviser. He called Islamism a "vicious cancer inside the body of 1.7 billion people" that has to be "excised" during an August speech. This is not singling out those Muslims that do the bad things like 9/11 and various other attacks here in the U.S. and across the world, but lumping the entire Islamic world together. Like a basket with all bad eggs.

This man is a loose cannon and needs to be helped. By a psychiatric team that understands extreme provincialism. Apparently the three stars on his shoulders went straight to his head and Flynn now thinks he is commanding the American public. It won't work and Trump should be able to see the dangerous nature of both these appointments. Another example, Flynn was asked if Obama was a Muslim and after a flurry of incoherent statements basically said yes.

Here we go again. Shades of former Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

Why did Bill Barr visit Jeffrey Epstein

August 13, 2019: TODAY'S NEWS BYTES on PROGRESSIVE STREET...Where Liberals Walk

And did Bill Barr make a secret visit to the jail just before Jeffrey Epstein's death?

Why did Trump's AG visit Jeffrey Epstein in jail?
The time has come to nail down some facts on the Jeffrey Epstein suicide, but the folks at the New York Metropolitan Correctional Center don't seem to have any answers. The only thing we are sure about is that the infamous pedophile is dead, and he took a treasure trove of information with him about the underage girls he provided for some very important people. Or maybe now that he is dead, his mansions, penthouses, even planes and boats will provide the final exposé.

Jeffrey Epstein taken off suicide watch...

And why did Donald Trump's AG, Bill Barr, make a suspicious trip to the New York's Metropolitan Correctional Center two weeks before Epstein's death? Here's the scenario...
Lewis Kasman, a former mobster and top associate of John Gotti Sr., told the New York Post that Barr made a secret visit to Metropolitan Correctional Center two weeks ago “about the time Epstein was found in his cell with bruises around his neck.”
“When does that happen?” Kasman asked. “The attorney general never visits jails. Something’s not right there.”
Bill Barr visits Jeffrey Epstein in jail-WHY

There was also conjecture by Kasman that Jeffrey Epstein had received help from jail employees just like other wealthy inmates had in the past...
“There are cameras going 24/7 and they’re watching 24/7. Someone had to give [Epstein] the equipment to kill himself and he had to pay for it dearly,” Kasman claimed. “That facility for years had issues of corruption, with correction officers bringing in food or cellphones for wealthy people.”
But the glaring question is why Epstein's lawyers requested that their client be taken off suicide watch? If the psychiatric doctors gave the go-ahead, that would have made more sense...
"A new report form the Wall Street Journal claims that attorneys for billionaire accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein asked that their client be taken off suicide watch.
The Journal’s sources did not explain the reason for the attorneys’ request, which was reportedly made less than a week after Epstein was placed on suicide watch after he was found unconscious in his cell with marks around his neck."
Just two weeks after this, Jeffrey Epstein was dead. It isn't yet known how many of his well-known buddies this will affect, and just how high it will go in the pecking order. But the American public should be enraged over any attempt to hide the fact that grown men--no matter how important they are--were having sex with underage girls.
