U.S. now has the second-highest number of known cases of coronavirus in the world

Because of Donald Trump's incompetence, this country has 80,000 recorded cases of COVID-19...

.The two incompetents behind it all
This can be attributed to early denials by the Oval Office lunatic, then delays in more ineptitude in testing. Here's the latest count...
"As of Thursday afternoon, China was reporting 81,782 cases and the United States had at least 80,837. There have been more than 510,000 cases reported worldwide."
As of today, Italy had 80,589 cases, in part due to a nationwide lockdown, which seems to have worked for this country. The best T-rump has come up with so far is encouraging distancing and not socializing. However, this idiot is reluctant to press for stay-at-home and is now talking of rescinding distancing and no socializing and returning to normal activities by Easter. All to improve an economy that he hopes will help his November election chances. But here's the way it is...
"Health officials are warning that numerous hospitals around the country may run out of beds within two weeks as cases continue rising.
"If more beds don't become available, 'then we don't have resources to save the lives that we need to save,' former Louisiana Secretary of Health Dr. Rebekah Gee said. 'That's why these stay-at-home orders are so important.'
"But "we have not seen the peak of the crisis yet," Gee said."
Here's the latest COVID-19 map...

Experts on distribution of much-needed hospital supplies...

So, what happened to the Defense Production Act to speed up the availability of critical health equipment? Here is CNN's take after Trump was contradicted again, this time by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) administrator...
Around 8 a.m. Tuesday, Trump tweeted, "The Defense Production Act is in full force, but haven't had to use it because no one has said NO! Millions of masks coming as back up to States."
Minutes later, FEMA administrator Pete Gaynor told CNN the administration will start wielding the powers in the Defense Production Act for 60,000 tests kits and "use the allocation portion of the DPA" starting today.
"Just a little while ago my team came in and we're actually going to use the DPA for first time today," Gaynor said.

Kathy Griffin in hospital
One of Donald Trump's biggest non-fans, Kathy Griffin Rips Trump After Being Denied COVID-19 Test, with a comment re. the White House maniac's COVID-19 testing program...
She tweeted, “He’s lying. I was sent to the [COVID19] isolation wardroom in a major hospital ER from a separate urgent care facility after showing UNBEARABLY PAINFUL symptoms. The hospital couldn’t test me for [coronavirus] because of CDC (Pence task force) restrictions.”
"Griffin’s tweet came just hours after Trump took to Twitter to boast about the United States’ testing capacity." This is what Trump tweeted...
Trump’s tweet read, “Just reported that the United States has done far more ‘testing’ than any other nation, by far! In fact, over an eight-day span, the United States now does more testing than what South Korea (which has been a very successful tester) does over an eight-week span. Great job!”
In perhaps one of the worst, if not the worst crisis the United States has ever faced, the guy who is supposed to be running this country is bold-face lying about what he is supposedly doing to curb the situation. It is not only unconscionable, but appears to me to be bordering on treason, lying to the American public in a way that could be detrimental to their health in this dire emergency...READ MORE...

"The Trump White House has no excuses for its lack of pandemic preparedness. None. Every few days we learn about yet another warning from the past, another way some part of the government tried to prepare for a pandemic, only to have Team Trump ignore all the preparation and waste months denying that coronavirus was a danger to the United States, while the virus spread and our chances to contain it ebbed away."

STOP coronavirus anti-vaxxers NOW!

Anti-vaxxers at it again, this time attacking coronavirus...

Jude McGee, who died of the flu at age two. His mother, Jill Promoli, has suffered abuse from anti-vaxers.
Jude McGee, dead at age 4, killed by anti-vaxxer mother

Anti-vaxxers are the scum of the earth, responsible for flu and measles deaths some time back, which were mostly children. There was no remorse when a mother let her 4-year-old young son die in Colorado in February of the flu because a Facebook group told her to medicate him with thyme and elderberry instead of the drug known to help the flu, Tamiflu. If that wasn't enough, after his death she was swamped with hate mail and attacked by anti-vaxxers.

These people are certifiably nuts and need to be corralled together and let them fight diseases and other viruses all on their own. As the spread of the virus has turned into a pandemic, across the world, "Anti-Vaxxers Are Terrified the Government Will ‘Enforce’ a Vaccine for Coronavirus," reports Vice. Here's the scenario...
"The rapid spread of coronavirus is beginning to look a lot like a pandemic, and besides its often deadly effects on human health, it’s also having a serious effect on the global economy, raising the prospect that everyday life could be disrupted all over the world. But anti-vaccine corners of the internet are worried about something else: that the government might develop—or even “enforce”—a coronavirus vaccine."
In another of my posts, "Brit convinced anti-vaxxers have blood on their hands." This is how they are viewed across the pond...
"The UK's health secretary Matt Hancock said anti-vaccination campaigners were 'morally reprehensible, deeply irresponsible' and had 'blood on their hands,'"
The understatement of the year when it comes to these muckrakers, but they cannot be ignored. Another way of looking at it...
"For most people, the news that a vaccine had been developed against the disease would come as a relief, but for anti-vaxxers it ties together two things. The first is, naturally, an overwhelming fear and distrust of vaccines; the second is a terrified certainty that some day the government will find a convenient excuse to enforce Orwellian degrees of control."
Strictly Orwellian but effective in this coronavirus emergency-MUST WATCH...

George Orwell would consider anti-vaxxers despicable, and there is nothing Orwellian about the government's enforcement of any vaccine that saves lives. It is pure common sense, which is completely absent in this group of baby-killers. This is how these idiots think...
"This is a common theme in the anti-vax world, and conspiracy theorist communities more broadly: that every disease outbreak is a pretext to enforce a secret, frequently sinister agenda. (Conspiracy theorists of all stripes have already seized on that idea; almost as soon as the disease started to spread, they were busily peddling paranoia alongside xenophobia and bullshit treatments.) In this case, they have a real-world data point to draw on: the way the Chinese government is furiously cracking down on dissenting voices who criticize its response to the outbreak."
The outlook is now "that while there’s no coronavirus vaccine yet, it’ll soon be impressed on an unwilling population, along with other vaccines." And I hope to be one of the first in line to get a vaccination.

Voluntary coronavirus socializing party produces...what else? Coronavirus victim

Young people come up with the idea, let's have a "coronavirus party" to socialize...

Kentucky "coronavirus party" that worked

One of the biggest socializing events of the year happens when the 146th Kentucky Derby runs in September...if it isn't cancelled due to coronavirus. But it does have its competition in the area of socializing when a group of double-digit IQs from the state got together to socialize just to prove a point; a 'coronavirus party' of young adults. They did. One of them--there may be more--came up with the COVID-19 virus, with this comment from CNN...
"The partygoers intentionally got together 'thinking they were invincible" and purposely defying state guidance to practice social distancing."
Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear chides coronavirus partygoers...

I did a recent piece on the dumbness of this age group, "Latest COVID-19 Crisis: These millennials are just stupid about coronavirus," which portrays these 18 to 29-year-old young people who make the me-group look like missionaries. And then earlier there was a guy on spring break who made the comment. "If I get corona, I get corona," who has since apologized, but you have to wonder how many of this Miami Beach gang will come up with the virus.

We talked to someone in this age group recently who is close to the family and responded to warnings that they should protect themselves, with the reply, "It's only a virus." That says it all, and it is damn tragic.

Trump touted coronavirus vaccine derivative, chloroquine, kills Arizona man

Strong words of experience from someone who has been there: "Listen to doctors, not Donald Trump"...

Dr Anthony Fauci speaks as US President Donald Trump listens during the daily press briefing
Dr. Fauci has urged caution on chloroquine

The above from the wife of the Arizona man who died after taking chloroquine, when hearing Donald Trump pushing it in press conferences and also by his minions, that it could cure coronavirus and was safe to take. The BBC says...
"The drug has been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for treating malaria, lupus and rheumatoid arthritis but is unproven for use against the novel coronavirus."
In these press conference the wife mentions, Trump went off on his usual tirades of telling the American public he was there to save lives and here's the drug to do it, chloroquine, which has been approved to fight malaria, but is also an ingredient used in cleaning fish tanks, thus, an obvious toxicity. The Arizona couple, in their sixties, took the Oval Office lunatic's advice, the wife commenting...
"We saw his press conference. It was on a lot, actually," she said. "Trump kept saying it was basically pretty much a cure."
"We were afraid of getting sick," she told NBC.
Reporter talks to dead husband's wife...

She is still in intensive care and her husband is dead. Here is what the wife advises...
"The wife of an Arizona man who died after ingesting chloroquine phosphate to protect himself from the novel coronavirus urged the public on Monday not to "believe anything that the president says" and rely on doctors instead."
But here's the kicker...
"The couple had used chloroquine previously as a treatment for their koi fish and still had some remaining in their home. This additive is formulated differently than the drug used to treat malaria."
And there you have it. They hear the White House maniac recommend the drug, chloroquine, recognize the name from the fact they have it as a treatment for their koi fish, and to my knowledge Trump did not add a disclaimer in pushing the drug saying it was also used to clean fish tanks. I must say, this couple should have used more common sense in self-medicating this drug, but Arizonans are dire-hard Trump fans and this idiot does have the authority of the White House.

It goes in here, not in your mouth

So what we have is tragedy in the desert that could easily have been prevented if Donald Trump had just kept his mouth shut and let the experts make the statements that so severely affect people's lives. As a matter of fact, Dr. Andrew Fauci, who serves as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), nixed T-rump's touting of the three drugs, including chloroquine saying the results were so far anecdotal, needed more testing for coronavirus. But...
"The president has repeatedly touted chloroquine as a "very powerful" treatment against the coronavirus and falsely claimed it was approved by the Food and Drug Administration."
And finally, the Arizona wife pleads...
"The president has repeatedly touted chloroquine as a 'very powerful' treatment against the coronavirus and falsely claimed it was approved by the Food and Drug Administration."
It is impossible to understand how Donald Trump can live with what he has done.

The idiots are active: Trump approval up 5 points

Just when you think the people of this country might come to their senses, they assume a mantle of stupidity that is amazing beyond comprehension...

Image result for gallup poll logo

I knew the United States was populated by a number of idiots; yes, these same people elected Donald Trump in 2016 and have been avid supporters since. But just in the last few hours Gallup released poll results that the Oval Office lunatic's approval rating has jumped 5 points from 44 to 49. Based on his handling of the coronavirus issue. In a blog post yesterday, I pointed out the U.S. is second from the bottom in testing, behind So. Korea, Italy, the United Kingdom and four more countries.

This moron even denied the virus was even a problem for several weeks, which put us behind making curbing the disease a game of catch-up. And just recently T-rump has been heavily touting three drugs used for treating malaria as miracle cures for coronavirus, one of which is chloroquine. A derivative of this with the same name used to clean fish tanks was self-medicated by an Arizona couple. The husband died, the wife is in ICU.

Is there any hope at all for these people?...READ MORE...
