If DOGE is illegal then Elon Musk must be illegal
The “department of government efficiency” (Doge), headed up by billionaire Elon Musk, has grabbed the governmental infrastructure by the balls and refuses to let go. It is so bad that Musk, along with J.D. Vance, has said that he might defy orders and verdicts from judges. This borders on sedition in an environment where the players actually control the country, from the White House, to Congress, to the Supreme Court. against which they are directing their discontent. But then, we are talking about Republicans.
"Laurence Tribe, one of the nation’s leading and preeminent constitutional scholars and a professor emeritus at Harvard Law School, has already argued that much of Trump’s blitzkrieg of executive orders on the day of his inauguration disregards the US constitution. He told the Guardian he saw Musk’s actions as furthering that culture."
There's more...
"On whether Doge and Musk can legally have this much power over an array of government departments, Tribe was emphatic: 'NO.'"
More from the constitutional expert...
"Tribe said the lack of guardrails being placed on Doge’s maverick initiatives, raises 'both' questions of illegality and ethical wrongdoing that can be challenged in court. As for Musk’s status as a federal contractor (such as his StarLink work with the Pentagon) and now a government employee, Tribe sees it as 'absolutely' a legal conflict of interest."Senator Bernie Sanders added: “What Musk is doing is illegal and unconstitutional.” The Bern's opinion...
"...deleting an agency like USAid, which was itself a creation of Congress, requires congressional approval."
One must wonder how long the wave of executive orders will continue; more than 50 have been signed by Trump so far. Thirty minutes after the Oval Office lunatic was sworn in...
"...a Maryland-based public interest law firm to file a 30-page lawsuit alleging Musk’s Doge should be considered a “federal advisory committee”, which makes it subject to government transparency laws and public scrutiny, which includes note keeping and meeting records, as required by law."
However, SCOTUS has a solid conservative majority, with three Trump appointees, that will think twice before crossing their monarch. And Trump appointees are strewn throughout the lower court system, which makes this all a monumental unknown. What we do know, though, is that our country is being destroyed by a gang of barbarian politicians.

What is Satan about Donald Trump?
Just like with Elon Musk, who was hugely responsible for T-rump winning the 2024 election, the Oval Office lunatic is enamored with Satan because the Prince of Darkness represents the evil ways in which Donald Trump has led his life, conducted his businesses, and is now terrorizing and destroying America. Rick Wilson, an anti-Trump GOP strategist and co-founder of the Lincoln Project, wrote a best-seller, "Running Against the Devil: A Plot to Save America from Trump--and Democrats from Themselves."
The book was written for the 2020 election with the following blurb...
"NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • One of the founders of The Lincoln Project, the bestselling author of Everything Trump Touches Dies is back with a guidebook for beating Trump’s tricks, traps, and tweets in 2020."Joe Scarborough, of MSNBC's Morning Joe, had this to say...
“If you believe America’s future depends on Donald Trump’s political machine being crushed at the polls next year, then Rick Wilson’s Running Against the Devil is a must-read.”Apparently the voting public paid no attention because the accomplice of the evil spirit won and is currently attempting to dissect our country into pieces this tyrant can control under his dictatorship. But he hasn't been all successful, considering Alison Durkee's piece in Forbes, Here Are All The Major Lawsuits Against Trump And Musk—As Judge Cuts Off DOGE’s Treasury Access. The timeline starts with Jan. 20, 2024, inauguration day, and goes through Feb. 8. Also obvious, Donald Trump has SCOTUS in his pocket.

| Trump...Satan...Hitler |
"Donald Trump is Satan. The Satan in question is perhaps the greatest literary character in the finest epic poem in the English language, John Milton’s Paradise Lost. That makes Washington Republicans the other fallen angels."
The author exclaims that Republicans made a deal with the devil, selling their souls like Dr. Faustus, bringing back memories of Mitch McConnell, who placed GOP power over everything, including ethics. In the Wilson quote, above, Washington Republicans as the other fallen angels, is a superb description of Trump's flunkys in Congress and others in his administration who are unbelievably scared of him, constantly in fear of his wrath. But Jeffrey Wilson worries his piece will be seen as just political railing against Trump...
"Trump as Satan: you might think it’s absurdly over-the-top, or want to celebrate it as a (literally) epic takedown, but this is not a political statement hurling invective. It’s an analytical statement describing what is happening – what will happen – and why, aided by the Miltonic intervention. Great literature helps us understand the world. Both politicians and literary critics do their jobs best when they’re willing to use literature to think about life.
Key words, 'analytical statement,' professing that Wilson has done his homework, and you can count on his verbalizations. Here's the scenario...
"Published in London in 1667, Paradise Lost is a Christian humanist epic about the war in Heaven and the fall of humankind in the Garden of Eden. Though he’s the ‘author of evil,’ Satan is shockingly an attractive character. He charms us with his energy. When God the Father anoints his Son king over the other angels, Satan, ‘Great in power’, doesn’t think it’s fair. The system was rigged."
Sound familiar? Donald Trump is denied the White House in 2020 when Joe Biden beats him to take over the Oval Office. From then, until he won the election in 2024, and continuing even today, Trump has asserted his right to office because 2020 was rigged for Biden. And of course all his lackeys like Kari Lake, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Matt Gaetz and several more acted as cheerleaders and still do. Here's another description from Milton that fits T-rump, except I deny he is a "powerful orator," rather just a bigmouth...
"A powerful orator, but loose with the truth, Satan secures a base of support, ‘and with lyes drew after him the third part of Heav’ns Host.’ This third of the angels back Satan to the bitter end, no matter what."
Paradise Lost seems so Trump-laden that I decided to read it again. In the meantime, John Milton recognizes Satan as a relentless liar and the first Never Satan-er to stand up is an angel named Abdiel, after which a war ensues, and God must send his Son to bring it all to a halt. But Jeffrey Wilson says, "Trump’s minions won’t fall so willingly" with Milton seeing it this way...
Republicans are more likely to fall like the stars in the Book of Revelation, Milton’s source: ‘His tail swept down a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth.’ That image of a falling Satan’s tail whipping out behind him, snagging the third of the angels that backed him, pulling them down, is what Milton invoked in the poem’s first epic simile. After crashing down in Hell, Satan lies belly-down in the swamp, a slumbering Leviathan.
Trump has always said he wants to clean the swamp. Perhaps the "cleaning" has always meant that we should just get rid of Donals Trump.

Trump's latest...Let them die from disease
Donald Trump skewers the caduceus
"The Trump administration has intervened in the release of important studies on the bird flu, as an outbreak escalates across the United States"
"One of the studies would reveal whether veterinarians who treat cattle have been unknowingly infected by the bird flu virus. Another report documents cases in which people carrying the virus might have infected their pet cats."
And then, across the country, Measles cases have been reported in Texas most likely because the vaccine rate against the disease has fallen. Two are dead and many are sick due to a wave of tuberculosis cases hitting the Kansas City, Kansas, metro area. While Covid just passed its 5th anniversary of the start of the pandemic, the virus is still killing thousands, according to experts. At least 50 snow geese have been found dead on an Upstate New York lake and are being tested for Avian flu.
Yet T-rump has decided we don't need WHO, nor do we need to exchange information on and not do studies for disease control.
A case of the highly infectious avian influenza, or bird flu, has been detected in a Montgomery County, Maryland, backyard flock. Whooping cough and Norovirus cases have steadily increased since the pandemic. Bird flu is 'widespread' among birds in Massachusetts, state officials say. The Washington Post reports, Covid isn’t as bad this winter but flu is worse. 36 US states have 'high' or 'very high' flu activity, CDC data shows. Georgia school district closes all schools due to flu, norovirus outbreak.Central High School. A case of tuberculosis (TB) was confirmed at Whitehall-Yearling High School, Whitehall, Ohio. The Emmett, Idaho School District canceled classes to deep clean all of its buildings due to spread of norovirus, COVID-19, influenza, RSV and pertussis (whooping cough). The combined information here shows the potential dilemma in the U.S. for diseases of all types but most important now, 464 deaths from bird flu since Dec. 2024.
One of the studies would reveal whether veterinarians who treat cattle have been unknowingly infected by the bird flu virus. Another report documents cases in which people carrying the virus might have infected their pet cats.
The studies were slated to appear in the official journal of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report. The distinguished journal has been published without interruption since 1952.
Dorothy Fink, the acting secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services ordered an “immediate pause” on communications by federal health agencies, dictated by who else, Donald Trump. Opposition includes...
That’s concerning, former CDC officials said, because a firewall has long existed between the agency’s scientific reports and political appointees. There was no response from The White House or HHS; in the meantime, at least 67 people have recently been tested positive for the bird flu in the U.S., most from cows or poultry. There is also concern that many cases are going undetected. Shades of Covid under Donald Trump in a situation most experts claim can be controlled with the proper handling. The question is, will the Republican Party do the right thing? One can only hope.
“MMWR is the voice of science,” said Tom Frieden, a former CDC director and the CEO of the nonprofit organization Resolve to Save Lives.
“This idea that science cannot continue until there’s a political lens over it is unprecedented,” said Anne Schuchat, a former principal deputy director at the CDC. “I hope it’s going to be very short-lived, but if it’s not short-lived, it’s censorship.”

Trump wants air traffic controllers to quit after D.C. crash
It isn't because there might have been an error in the Reagan Airport tower, it is because the Oval Office lunatic wants to cut more federal jobs in his plan to destroy the U.S. government. And this, when, apparently, the controller was handling both the American airliner and Army Black Hawk helicopter, because of a shortage of tower personnel. Here's the scenario from Yahoo...
"Air traffic controllers were emailed by the Trump administration urging them to quit their jobs and take mass “buyouts” just 24 hours after the D.C. plane crash. It had only been 24 hours since the Army helicopter crashed into the American Airlines jet as it came in to land at Reagan National Airport, killing 67 people. This tactless statement was followed by more...
They were among hundreds of thousands of federal workers sent the email at 8.30 p.m. Thursday to push the extraordinary offer by Trump’s aides to get civil servants to quit en masse."
“We encourage you to find a job in the private sector as soon as you would like to do so,” stated the email sent by the Office of Personnel Management.
“The way to greater American prosperity is encouraging people to move from lower productivity jobs in the public sector to higher productivity jobs in the private sector.”
So, being an air tr5affic controller is a 'low productivity job' , and, anyway, the private sector offers better career opportunities than the U.S. government. Can you believe this? "The late Thursday night email follows up on an earlier one which offered federal workers other incentives to abandon their job security, such as eight months of pay if they obliged by Feb. 6."
Trump did not respond to requests for comments.

Donald Trump blames Wash., D.C. plane crash on Democrats, BUT...

| Jan. 29, 2024 D.C. plane crashes |
Here's The New Republic headline: "Trump Gutted Key Aviation Safety Committee Before D.C. Plane Crash." Now, it isn't likely this stupid move by the Oval Office Lunatic is what killed the 67 people in the collision between an American airlines plane and a helicopter, close to Ronald Reagan airport. However, it is possible this move could affect future potential accidents, and deaths, and there is absolutely no evidence that it is the fault of the Biden administration. An American Airlines pilot said...
"The notoriously difficult job of navigating airspace restrictions near Reagan National Airport is made more complicated by the very congested air traffic there."
Then Dennis Tajer, spokesperson for the Allied Pilots Association, commented...
“It’s a precarious balance of security and jamming in as many airplanes as you can get in there, because demand is so high.”
J. D. Vance chimed in by mimicking Trump and said...
"...without citing any evidence – that hiring standards have been lowered at air traffic control, which would be rectified by the Trump administration."The second White House maniac also said air traffic controllers were not hired under Biden "because of the color of their skin.”
The New Republic piece provides the scenario...
"Last week, just days after his inauguration, Donald Trump eliminated the membership of a key committee that handles aviation security. And on Wednesday night, a passenger plane collided with a military helicopter in the Washington, D.C., area."
"On Tuesday, January 22, the Aviation Security Advisory Committee’s members received a memo from the Trump administration saying that the Department of Homeland Security was getting rid of the membership of all advisory committees in a “commitment to eliminating the misuse of resources and ensuring that DHS activities prioritize our national security.” At the same time, Trump also fired the heads of the Transportation Security Administration and the Coast Guard.
When Trump was asked how he could be so definitive about who was at fault for the crash, he said...
“Because I have common sense, OK, and unfortunately, a lot of people don’t.”
That comment is not worth a reply, except, Holy Crap!

Have you noticed? People are much kinder to animals lately...
HOORAY! Yes, you can see it all over the Internet with many of the posts reflecting some great incident where an animal is rescued and ends up finding his or her forever home. But, approximately 7.6 million companion animals are given to animal shelters nationwide every year, according to PangoVet. Did you know that only one out of 10 dogs born finds a permanent home? And, 75% of the animals euthanized in California shelters are cats. These are two dismal statistics that point out the plight of animal advocates. More bad news...
In the U.S., 20 percent of cats and dogs are homeless; there are 5.9 million dogs living in the streets, 2.3 million dogs in shelters, 35 million cats living on the street, and 2.1 million cats in shelters.A National Pet Owners Survey reports that about 86.9 million U.S. households, or 66% of households, own a pet. This is an increase from 56% in 1988. I'm not saying it should be 100%, but my guess is there are several million homes out there that could take in a new family member from their local animal rescue and give it the forever home it deserves. My wife and I have saved eleven rescues (cats) since we got married. We are convinced, a home without an animal is a home that is not complete.
PETA fieldworkers found Henrietta and six other chickens imprisoned in a cluttered pen belonging to a woman who was moving away but hadn’t made plans for placing them in new homes. PETA took the chickens to a sanctuary, where they enjoy roaming a large meadow and taking dust baths.PETA volunteers found Blue locked inside a crate outdoors along with the remains of another dog named Dynasty, who had a shattered pelvis and had been starved to death. Blue was malnourished, and his white paws were stained yellow from having to stand in his own urine. He was adopted into a loving home, and his former owner was sentenced to one year in prison for cruelty to animals and was prohibited from owning animals for three years.
Valediction was a horse who had been run on bad legs and was injured during a race. PETA supporter Sam Simon purchased Valediction, and PETA arranged for him to be sent to a beautiful farm in Virginia owned by other PETA supporters. Valediction is now enjoying retirement, and he will never be forced to race for his life again.
Bubbles, Brandi, and Marshall were among about 30 special-needs cats and nearly 50 dogs who were evacuated from severely crowded Gulf-area shelters in the wake of the BP oil spill. Brandi, who had recently given birth to a litter of kittens, was nearly bald from stress and flea allergies. Marshall was missing most of a hind leg and half of his tail. Bubbles was neurotic and jumped at every noise. The three felines are now beloved residents of PETA’s Norfolk, Virginia, headquarters.
After a long and hard-fought battle by PETA, the Animal Legal Defense Fund, and concerned citizens, Ben [a bear] was rescued from Jambbas Ranch Tours, an abysmal North Carolina roadside zoo, where he spent six long years locked away in a cage similar to a dog kennel, deprived of even the most basic necessities. Today, Ben is living out his days at the Performing Animal Welfare Society.
Despite the cruelties that prevail, leading up to some of these rescues, we like to hope the outcomes usually result in a forever home for the animal. The term 'good samaritan' is seen regularly in the rescue of animals these days and is the basis for my headline, 'People are much kinder to animals lately. They often come out of nowhere, and provide the help needed to save an animal's life. Right on, folks! We thank you for your efforts and please keep up the good work.
I urge you to look at the PETA site with 35 inspiring rescue stories, including the above,
