Here's the RawStory headline: "Red states may be facing a perfect storm of illness and death from COVID-19"...
Trump, surrounded with other morons
We're talking about previously minimum outbreaks of COVID-19 due to the low density of rural areas compared to New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. That has now changed...
"More than two-thirds of rural counties have confirmed at least one case.” Forty-two states now have over 1,000 confirmed cases of the disease, and many red states are among those conducting the fewest tests."
There's more...
"Polls consistently find that Republicans–especially those who watch Fox News regularly–are more likely than Democrats to believe that COVID-19 is similar to the seasonal flu, and that the media and Democrats are hyping the seriousness of the pandemic to harm Donald Trump’s prospects in November."
Coronavirus effects on rural areas...
And there are additional health factors involved...
"According to data from the Kaiser Family Foundation, 17 of the 20 states with the highest rates of smoking are red. Two are swing states and one, North Carolina, has only become blue in the past couple of cycles.
Not only do we have a bunch of double-digits running around out there rooting for Donald Trump, these same Republicans don't seem to give a damn about their health.
Donald Trump bungles the COVID-19 emergency in the United States, where other world leaders have excelled in their countries...
Contemplating...What will I screw up next?
Here's the headline from Forbes: "Most World Leaders See Approval Ratings Surge Amid Coronavirus. Not Trump." But does anyone wonder why with the level of incompetence he and his minions have exhibited in handling the crisis Only the double-digits that support him. And this will all play out even more as those ding-a-lings who hit the Jacksonville, Fla. beaches yesterday spread around their frivolity, perhaps more. Thanks to Fla.'s idiot governor, Ron DeSantis.
Donald Trump's deplorable response to COVID-19 handling...
There are several "key facts" about Trump's handling of the dilemma, but here is a comparison well worth mentioning...
"Some world leaders have seen spectacular rises in support, especially Germany’s chancellor Angela Merkel, whose approval rating increased 11 points to 79% since early March, according to a recent poll from Forschungsgruppe Wahlen."
Germany has had 143,160 coronavirus cases and 4,451 total deaths, according to WORLDOMETER. The U.S. 734,525, 38,768 deaths, but the huge difference is Germany's deaths per 1,000 population of 53, compared to the U.S. which is double that at 117. This is an excellent article, worth reading, documenting how Donald Trump's handling of the COVID-19 crisis reflects the highest level of incompetence in comparison with our allies. More than pathetic!
...if we had an expert like Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the CDC, in sole charge of disseminating any and all information on the coronavirus pandemic...
The Big Mouth
Dr. Fauci has proven himself credible and dependable to see the problems, analyze the situation and come up with the correct answers. But we know that giving him free reign won't happen with the big mouth maniac
in the Oval Office. So what do we do? The coronavirus clown just did an about-face on
The coronavirus clown
shutdowns he had previous determined...
"The feds were issuing broad guidelines, he said, but 'governors will be empowered to tailor an approach that meets the diverse circumstances of their own states....'"
But then...
"Before noon on Friday, Trump and his thumbs had ripped off the mask to reveal the man we always knew was underneath: the raging, juvenile, divisive partisan with Twitter Tourette’s.
“LIBERATE MINNESOTA!” he wrote. “LIBERATE VIRGINIA!” “LIBERATE MICHIGAN!”, he said, clearly siding with protesters who’ve broken social distancing restrictions to put themselves and their neighbors at risk. It is no mistake he chose three swing states with Democratic governors who have gone out of their way to work with regional partners.
Dr. Anthony Fauci says there should be a stay-at-home order for the ENTIRE country...
"The New York daily News profiles Donald Trump the, "nation’s
supposed leader reverts again to being its loudest whiner, its blame-shifting,
chaos-causing, whirlwind-reaping rabble-rouser," finishing their article with...
"None of this is the least bit surprising. Just as when the dog, who has gone to obedience school and put on an “I’m sorry” face many times, makes on the carpet again. If it wouldn’t violate social distancing rules, we’d roll up today’s Daily News and hit him on the nose again."
Fix Our Senate Group running killer ads against Moscow Mitch McConnell for protecting Republican Senators "profiting from stock sales while America fights coronavirus.”
Moscow Mitch hung out to dry
Moscow Mitch and his wife Elaine Chou are mired in their own share of corruption in Kentucky and McConnell knows if he pulls the plug on them, they will do likewise. But this sort of thing does naturally fit his personality. The other culprits include...
"Sens. Richard Burr (R-N.C.) and Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.), who are among a handful of senators accused of potentially violating a law banning Congress members from making financial trades based on nonpublic information."
Moscow Mitch has made it his goal to stop anything that is presented by Democrats in the Senate, and you might remember his statement when Barack Obama was elected indicating he would see that he was only a one-term president. He failed. And the ad also takes a swipe at how he miserably fails his constituency and other Americans...
"The narrator of the ad also hits McConnell for putting 'handouts for big corporations ahead of real assistance for regular Americans.'”
Politico reminds us of the political corruption between Moscow Mitch and wife Elaine Chao in Kentucky underhanded Transportation deal...
Donald Trump reigns today as the self-made king he has created simply because Moscow Mitch remains completely silent and even encourages him at times. Again the ad...
“His corruption continues while doctors and nurses can’t get the supplies they need and millions are unemployed,” the narrator says. “Enough is enough. Tell Mitch McConnell: end the culture of corruption in the Senate.”
But McConnell is 78 years old, an age where he can't afford to get coronavirus, so you would think this slimeball would be more supportive of fighting the virus. Dianne Feinstein, also accused of selling her stock made this statement...
A spokesperson for Feinstein told The New York Times at the time that the senator had nothing to do with the decision to sell her stocks. Feinstein’s assets are in a blind trust and the senator has no involvement in her husband’s financial decisions, the spokesperson said.
Amy McGrath, running against McConnell in Kentucky will surely be the winner now. GO AMY! But we have no doubt not seen the last of this.
Yes, the CEOs that run America's corporations are much smarter than the Oval Office lunatic and, despite the fact that they are all extremely profit-minded, they realize the dangers of putting their employees back to work. This would indicate to the triple-digit IQs, and even the double-digit Trump supporters that this idiot is only interested in one thing by forcing the economy to open too soon, it is his desperation to win the November election. Here's the scenario...
"An attempt by President Donald Trump to enlist the assistance of private business leaders in his efforts to reopen the U.S. economy by early May was panned as a failure by participants and observers alike as the White House response to the coronavirus pandemic appears set to make an economic crash worse."
Here's what one CEO who commented anonymously for fear of White House reprisals told Politico...
“He’s got to stop talking about turning the economy back on and start talking about making people feel safe, things that are happening around testing, and the health care system. That’s the only way you will really get the economy reopened over a period of time.”
CEOs are most concerned about COVID-19 testing, which has been a complete failure by Donald Trump, promising, but never delivering. He has boasted about the 3-million done, when the healthcare industry has said we need millions per week, of not by the day. Trump had the gall to open the call with the comment, "testing is under control," which must have sent many of the corporate heads into silent convulsions.
Yet new guidelines from Trump to open economy...
But the same advisers who apparently talked the White House maniac out of officially appointing his daughter, Ivanka, and her husband Jared Kushner to head up the advice team to reopen the economy, talked him into the call to corporations with the following results...
"Those people have apparently told him it would be absurd to get back to regular life before the government has hugely increased testing capabilities."
The dumbest duo
Donald Trump is still clueless after having been alerted on January 18, by Alex Azar, Secretary of Health and Human Services, who warned him then of the coronavirus threat. That's three months and still Trump does not have a workable COVID-19 testing plan to save more American lives. But it does seem that some employers would be amenable to sending employees back to work if they are immune from litigation. Some fake concern there, perhaps?
Politico's Ben White reported the typical Donald Trump mishandling of things in setting up the corporate executive calls...
“The whole thing was a bit of a disaster, the way they announced this on Tuesday,” White explained on MSNBC, “read a lot of corporate CEO names that had no idea they were a part of this effort to reopen the economy, didn’t give anybody really time to plan to be on these calls. Among the Wall Street executives, a lot of them had earnings yesterday and couldn’t be on the call. One JP Morgan executive tried for 20 minutes to get in and couldn’t.”
White reiterated corporate execs response to Trump's demands that they help him get the economy rolling,..
“But we cannot do that, our employees will not feel safe until the testing regime is much more widespread, until people don’t feel like they’re going out to be guinea pigs to get the virus..."
