Blockade for coronavirus information continues by Donald Trump

CNN headlines "dissonance" between Donald Trump and CDC on coronavirus

Image result for trump denies coronavirus
Trump/Hannity

But there is no discord when it comes to Trump allies who are willing to stretch the truth, even lie, for T-rump when it comes to the severity of the coronavirus. As an example, wingnut Republican, Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz...
"a top Republican [suck-up] in the House of Representatives, appeared to be mocking the virus when he wore a gas mask to votes on the House floor."
The Oval Office lunatic has complained that some administration people like Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar were too alarmist when conveying information on the disease complaining that "doomsday scenarios and overly pessimistic predictions helped tank markets." Although there should be certain considerations in releasing information, this clearly points out Trump's interest in protecting his favorability ratings for the November election.

Here's CNN's take...
"From its earliest days, Trump has sought to downplay coronavirus' risks and lashed out when those within his administration appeared to be doing otherwise. He told a collective of executives at the World Economic Summit in Davos, Switzerland, in mid-January that it would not pose a major threat to the United States, an attendee told CNN."
The big question remains, when the coronavirus epidemic turns into a pandemic, what will the White House maniac do? There are many, even within the Trump administration, who believe he doesn't have the skills or brains to handle it. Then what?,,,READ MORE...

Republican CPAC member of American Conservative Union has the virus

Now, that's novel...Coronavirus stricken person a member of GOP CPAC, the party that denies the disease'''

See the source image
Matt Schlapp
This person was exposed to the virus before attending the American Conservative Union (ACU) convention, This person was tested as positive for COVID-19 in a New Jersey hospital; the convention was held in Maryland. But the patient remains quarantined in the New Jersey hospital. Did the person know he or she had been exposed? It all sounds very suspicious but everything Republicans do today is suspect. Here is an apparently incorrect ACU statement...
"ACU said that the patient did not make contact with President Trump or Vice President Mike Pence, and never attended the events in the main hall."
However, completely contrary to that...
"Matt Schlapp told the Washington Post he interacted with the patient at the event and that he then shook Trump’s hand on the stage on the last day of the conference."
Like I said before, nothing a Republican says can ever be trusted, except, perhaps, Matt Schlapp!

Trump's self appraisal gets support from his bootlickers

Why coronavirus will go out of control in the United States...

Sean Hannity, one of Fox News' biggest sources of misinformation

The Russians are coming - The Russians are coming...to spread coronavirus propaganda like...
"conspiracy theories — suggesting, for example, that the coronavirus had been created by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation or was the result of a bioweapon."
Not so far-fetched when you consider they helped spread hoaxes in 2016 that the Democrats wanted to "destroy T-rump's presidency." Now Putin's gang is fast at work again, this time on the coronavirus to lay the blame anywhere but at Donald Trump's feet, where it belongs. If you can believe anything from Trump's Cabinet...
"A top State Department official said Thursday that Russia is behind 'swarms of online, false personas' that sought to spread misinformation about coronavirus on social-media sites, stressing the 'entire ecosystem of Russian disinformation is at play.'"
Dumbo Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton is at it again when he went on TV to advance the theory of Chinese bioweapon conspiracy, not backing down when questioned over his remark. Here's the real skinny...
Richard Ebright, a professor of chemical biology at Rutgers University, told the Washington Post, “There’s absolutely nothing in the genome sequence of this virus that indicates the virus was engineered. The possibility this was a deliberately released bioweapon can be firmly excluded.”
The master moron of misinformation speaks on coronavirus...

So back to ground zero where Trump, Pence and the whole lot of misfits and incompetents charge ahead with more cover-up propaganda, rather than pay attention to the crisis at hand. And, that's not good since Fox News' Maria Bartiromo predicts there will be ‘hundreds of thousands’ of US coronavirus cases,' as I reported in yesterday's post. But Salon's Digby Parton cautions...
"If these rumors and lies were started by the Russian government it just proves, once again, that they know their targets. But the truth is that Americans don’t really need their help. The right-wing media is doing a great job of misleading half the country all by themselves."
And Maria Bartiromo is one of the few Fox staff who can be trusted.
Rush Limbaugh

It is beyond frightening that an unbridled GOP can get away with this in modern day America. But this is what it has come down to today and if the American public decides to reelect Donald Trump to a second term. Salon reminded us, "Rush Limbaugh insisted that the coronavirus was just a common cold and it was being 'weaponized' to use against the president." With world-class morons like this in our own country, we don't need any enemies.

And then there is another delusion from Fox News dimwits. They have...
"blamed the homeless population for spreading the disease, despite absolutely no evidence that has happened. This fits with their evident programming directive to demean and degrade the homeless population as often as possible, particularly in states that didn’t vote for Donald Trump."
Now this exceeds the unconscionable when these displaced folks are trying their best to just survive in some cases. And this is the first time I have heard this one, Digby Parton contends that Donald Trump has a "fake reputation," throwing the term back in the face of the blockhead that originated it with "fake news." But here's an unbelievable comment that Trump made to the king of misinformation, Fox News Sean Hannity...
"We have thousands or hundreds of thousands of people that get better, just by, you know, sitting around and even going to work, some of them go to work, but they get better."
Many of the mild cases have experienced some improvement and will continue to do so. But another implication they should go to work is asinine and potentially dangerous for those with more serious conditions. There have been 3,570 coronavirus deaths worldwide, 19 in the U.S. There are a number of factors that affect the immunity to this virus and only the experienced medical community should be giving advice, not some dufus sitting in the Oval Office.

Trump says elderly should fly, no matter coronavirus risk

Donald Trump completely cavalier with elderly health

Image result for donald trump versus cdc
Donald Trump on coronavirus...WTF
The airlines are experiencing slower customer travel since the onset of the coronavirus, so Trump decided to give them a boost and overrode "a recommendation from health officials that elderly people and those who are 'physically fragile' not fly on commercial airplanes." Yeah, just throw the old farts (I'm one) at the disease since they're probably on their last leg anyway. And then regarding the latest problems with the cruise lines...
"Pence reportedly 'narrowed' his focus when he spoke about precautions for certain populations, noting that 'older people with serious health problems' should 'practice common sense and avoid activities including traveling on a cruise line.'"
The keyword here is "serious." The CDC cautions any person "over 60 and those with underlying health problems to strongly consider avoiding activities that involve large crowds." That would certainly include airports and airplanes. It isn't time to panic, but it sure is time to use good judgment, because the immune system of an elderly person is one of the most fragile parts of their overall health issues. Again, I have first-hand knowledge of this...READ MORE...

Robert Reich says Bernie Sanders is electable

Six ways to convert Bernie Sanders skeptics...

Robert Reich, who is an American liberal economist, professor, author, and political commentator, who worked for Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton, has six ways he feels will convince Bernie Sanders' skeptics.

1. “America would never elect a socialist. P-l-e-a-s-e. America’s most successful and beloved government programs are social insurance – Social Security and Medicare. A highway is a shared social expenditure, as is the military and public parks and schools. The truth is we have already have socialists." A point that has been made hundreds of times and think about it, the Bern's programs have a majority support in the U.S.

Why is Bernie Sanders electable?...

2. “He’d never beat Trump in the general election. Wrong. The best way for Democrats to defeat Trump’s fake anti-establishment populism is with the real thing, coupled with an agenda of systemic reform. This is what Bernie Sanders offers, and it’s what the polls are reflecting." Biden beats Bernie by over nine points in the primary, understandable, due to recent dropouts and their endorsements for Joe Biden. But Robert Reich is looking at individual ideology more these days, and Sanders' candidacy is becoming more desirable.

3. “But how would he pay for it?" A question asked over and over when it seems no one muses, "Funny that they never ask how we’ll pay for endless wars or bailouts, tax cuts, and subsidies for the top 1 percent." Reich continues, "Bernie’s campaign just released a detailed memo outlining how they plan to pay for his policy ideas." When you consider what we are paying for and the results it will yield, the whole effort is put into perspective.

There are three more: 4. “He couldn’t get any of his ideas implemented because Congress would reject them.” - 5. “He’s too old.” - 6. “He can’t unite the Democratic Party.” I really recommend you read this article by one of the leading liberal political analysts of today, Robert Reich.

Maria Bartiloma expects 100s of 1000s coronavirus cases in U.S.

Reason: Because "disinformation continued to spread on the right-leaning network about the outbreak."

Maria Bartiromo

In other words, the Donald Trump White House, in its efforts to protect the stock market and this idiot's ranking in the polls, leading up to November, is spewing propaganda that downplays the dilemma. Based on our past experience with the lackeys that advise the Oval Office lunatic, Bartiroma's estimate could be right, or even conservative. God, I hate that word. Here is her theory...
“I think you have to expect constant volatility. It’s going to be down 1,000, up 1,000. A lot of back and forth. A lot of volatility,” Bartiromo told Fox News host Bill Hemmer when asked how the coronavirus would impact the stock market. “Why? Because there’s so much nervousness on Wall Street and really throughout the country. We don’t know enough. We have not gotten enough information. The administration tried to get ahead of this last week. You know that. They said we will see more cases.”
Bartiromo has sources that reveal...
"that we’re going to see tens of thousands, ultimately hundreds of thousands of cases in the United States. This is going to happen. That’s why the administration tried to get ahead of that.”
But so far they haven't, and that's the real problem...READ MORE...

Is Donald Trump delaying coronavirus kits circulation to reduce case numbers???

A Northern California Kaiser nurse was unable to get tested for coronavirus before going back to work with her patients. She volunteered to treat a coronavirus patient then here's the scenario...
“As a nurse, I’m very concerned that not enough is being done to stop the spread of the coronavirus. I know because I am currently sick and in quarantine after caring for a patient who tested positive. I’m awaiting ‘permission’ from the federal government to allow for my testing, even after my physician and county health professional ordered it.”
She was confirmed with the symptoms of the virus, then this...
"My doctor ordered the test through the county. The public county officer called me and verified my symptoms and agreed with testing. But the National CDC would not initiate testing. They said they would not test me because if I were wearing the recommended protective equipment, then I wouldn’t have the coronavirus … What a ridiculous and uneducated response from the department that is in charge of our health in this country.”
Yes, where are the kits you promised?
Later they called back and said there weren't enough kits, a responsibility given to Mike Pence heading up the program. The nurse concludes with...
“They claim they prioritize running samples by illness severity and that there are only so many to give out each day. So I have to wait in line to find out the results. This is not the ticket dispenser at the deli counter; it’s a public health emergency! I am a registered nurse, and I need to know if I am positive before going back to caring for patients.”
READ MORE HERE AND HERE...

Here's a follow-up on the delivery of test kits. With 200 cases and 12 deaths in the U.S., the Trump administration is finally promising delivery of several hundred thousand test kits by this weekend. Here's the latest report...
"The test kits from Iowa-based Integrated DNA Technologies are one part of the government’s effort to ramp up testing. But the U.S. has trailed other countries in rolling out tests, because of problems with its test kits and because the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention initially limited the number of eligible people."
My question is, why did the Trump administration, through the CDC, limit those tested rather than just proceeding with the production of coronavirus test kits it is obvious was necessary? Would it have prevented some of the deaths that occurred? We need answers from the White House maniac now!

"NO" to anything Democrat says Moscow Mitch

Moscow Mitch McConnell, political terrorist
He promised it after President Barack Obama was elected, for two terms, and he fulfilled his commitment, almost. We did get Obamacare but little more. This slimeball literally prevented Obama's appointment of federal judges, even blocking "Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland from even getting a hearing." McConnell laughed while talking to Sean Hannity...
"If I’m still the majority leader in the Senate think of me as the Grim Reaper. None of that stuff is going to pass,” McConnell said while speaking to community leaders in Owensboro, Ky." There's more...
I guarantee you that if I’m the last man standing and I’m still the majority leader, it ain’t happening. I can promise you,” McConnell added."
Spoken like a true political terrorist, which is exactly what Moscow Mitch is. If Kentucky re-elects him in November, these voters will rank on a par with Donald Trump's double-digit supporters. Go Amy McGrath.

The White House maniac hasn't a clue on coronavirus...

UPDATE

Coronavirus isn't yet out of hand in the U.S.; although it is spreading throughout the country. "As of March 05, 2020 at 18:17 GMT, there have been 164 confirmed cases and 11 deaths due to coronavirus COVID-19 in the United States." Here's the lineup by state:
  • 27 in Washington State (including 9 deaths and 1 recovered)
  • 24 in California (including 2 recovered)
  • 4 in Illinois (including 2 recovered)
  • 3 in Florida
  • 3 in Oregon
  • 2 in Arizona (including 1 recovered)
  • 2 in Georgia
  • 2 in Massachusetts (including 1 recovered)
  • 2 in New York
  • 2 in Rhode Island
  • 2 in New Hampshire
  • 1 in North Carolina
  • 1 in Texas
  • 1 in Wisconsin (including 1 recovered)
And all this while Donald Trump tries to "minimize" the problem, just to protect the stock market and his chances to win in November. Here's the scenario...
“Trump’s playing down of the California patient at his news conference underscores the administration’s slapdash and often misleading attempts to contain not just the virus, but also potential political damage from the outbreak — which has tanked financial markets, slowed global commerce and killed some 3,000 people worldwide, including the first U.S. death, announced Saturday,” the Washington Post reports.
So much for a president who is looking out for the people...READ MORE...

Mike Pence defends Trump, Jr. comment, "Democrats hope coronavirus 'kills millions of people' in the US because they want to bring his father down."

And this is what number two dumb had to say, "he was merely 'pushing back' at politicisation of the viral outbreak by Trump opponents." Considering number two Trump can't help it since he undoubtedly inherited the double-digit IQ from his father, what is Pence's excuse? Now consider, it is this moron that T-rump has put in charge of the coronavirus program. If it wasn't for the few level heads sparsely interspersed withing this administration, the U. S. would be doomed.

Donald Trump passes Mike Pence during a news conference at the White House on Saturday.
The look of, 'What the f*#+ do we do?'

This dimwit even added, It’s time for the other side to turn down the volume.” This is the guy who wants to "pray" away the virus rather than work on how to protect the citizens of this country. The people of Indiana who elected this numbnuts governor are no doubt supporters of the Oval Office lunatic, and look how he screwed up an HIV outbreak there. This is indeed the biggest crisis Donald Trump has faced yet, and so far he is a total failure...READ MORE...

CNN asks how bad will the coronavirus get. This following their headline for the article: "Trump meets a new enemy." The combination of the two is more than frightening, with the implication that Donald Trump is out of his league, again, when it comes to dealing with another crisis, which will impact his favorability rating. The author's meaning, of course, applies to...
"the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus around the world, the resulting stock market plunge and the concern about whether America's political leaders are up to the challenge."

Sort of like what I said but with a different twist. There will be an outbreak says Dr. Nancy Messonnier, of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. and we have already experienced that, as you can see from the illustration, above. What is worse is Dr. Leana Wen, Baltimore's former health commissioner comments...
"the disease will test our government's response and resiliency. How we weather the outbreak also hinges on our trust that the government has our best intentions at heart. We don't yet know if the trajectory of COVID-19 will be mild, moderate, or severe" but it makes sense to prepare for the worst case."
The key here is can we, 'trust that the government has our best intentions at heart?' So far, we haven't been able to count on anything Donald Trump says or does. And he continues to push forward with false facts and completely inaccurate information every time he opens his mouth. The markets reacted with, "the Dow plunging 3,583 points, making it by percentage terms the worst week since October, 2008. Trump's worst nightmare...READ MORE...

Gloomy outlook as public-health experts say Coronavirus may never disappear. Their evaluation is...
"there are only three possible endings to this story: The outbreak could be controlled via public-health interventions and disappear (as SARS did), a vaccine could be developed, or the coronavirus could become a permanent part of the repertoire of human viruses like the seasonal flu."
They contend, "That third option is the most likely, the new virus probably won't ever truly disappear." So what is the Oval Office lunatic's latest move? He blames it on former President Barack Obama, as you can see in the video here. No consideration for the fact that Trump appointed Mike Pence has screwed up testing from the beginning so we don't actually know how many cases are really in the U.S.

The outbreak never ends say expert...

Donald Trump wants coronavirus at the workplace...

The future under Donald Trump
Okay, here is the White House maniac's headline you cannot believe of all time: "Trump says thousands with coronavirus could go to work and get better as CDC says ‘do not go to work.’" This is beyond belief with the virus spreading through the country, and because of inadequate testing, we really don't know how many cases there really are. This is frightening since these people could be infecting others. He says this against the advice of the advice of the CDC, which immediately condemned the comment as "irresponsible and dangerous."...

The dufus thinking???
Then he followed it up with this, "Trump claims ‘Corona Flu’ patients ‘get better’ by ‘going to work’ – and falsely says death rate is less than 1%. This after "the deadly coronavirus that has already killed 11 people in this country and about 3200 people worldwide." And based on the incompetent testing controlled by Mike Pence, it is bound to continue the spread. Here's the scenario...
[He] "challenged the World Health Organization’s assessment that the death rate for COVID-19 is 3.4%. Trump claimed it is less than 1%, which is provably false and a dangerous claim to make."
But, Americans need not worry. Doctor and scientist Donald Trump will make it all right. God! When will this end?...READ MORE...

Who will Elizabeth Warren endorse now that she's out of race?

GP: Elizabeth Warren Holds Event On Super Tuesday

The "Party's" over for Elizabeth Warren as she has a dismal showing on Super Tuesday. But, it's been coming and think she might have known it for some time. This leave Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden, and will she play the good Democrat and endorse Joe Biden, or do the right thing and back Bernie Sanders? Hell, she3 is a Progressive and Biden is way out in right field with his campaign. She supported Hillary Clinton in 2016, which helped her win the nomination.

She noted that her endorsement could be coming, but “not right now.”
If she decided to endorse Bernie, it could turn the Democratic campaign upside down...READ MORE...

Youth vote deserted Bernie...

See the source image

At least we know they weren't at the polls for Super Tuesday, so Joe Biden made a sweep of 9 of the 14 states. The Bern took Utah, Vermont, Colorado and the big delegate state, California. Apparently the loss of those states Bernie expected to win, like Texas, hasn't slowed down the Vermont Senator. USA Today says...
The common theme in all those [Joe Biden wins, Texas, No. Carolina, Virginia, Alabama, Tenn., Arkansas, Okla., Minn., Mass., with Maine leading Biden] states: "Sanders fared worse this year than he did when he faced eventual nominee Hillary Clinton four years ago."
But this didn't dampen Bernie Sanders enthusiasm for the nomination professing that he is still headed for success in November...
"We are going to defeat Trump because we are putting together an unprecedented grass-roots, multi-generational, multi-racial movement."
Image result for multi-generational, multi-racial movement
Mixed race, multi-generational family

I explained Bernie's "multi-generational, multi-racial movement," in a blog post yesterday However, the political pundits still say, "young voters’ energy rarely matches their turnout on Election Day." But then, millennial turnout did double from 2014 to 2018, according to Pew Research, so go figure. Here's an interesting comment from Griffin Schutte, 21, of Virginia Beach who said he "he switched from Clinton in 2016 to Sanders this year because he thinks the Vermont senator is best to stand up to Trump...
"And I think Bernie Sanders is well equipped to stand by his ideals and his policies that he’s been standing by during his long and very consistent career in politics," Schutte said as he stood in line for a Sanders rally in Richmond Thursday.
Howard Dean, former DNC Chair, puzzled by lack of youth vote on Super Tuesday...

Not that Joe Biden doesn't stand on his record; in fact most of what we hear from him is what he did in the Obama administration as Vice President. CNN reports that Biden's campaign was staggering until his win in the So. Carolina Primary, brought about by the black vote which translated into his southern states win in the Super Tuesday Primary. Of course Amy Klobuchar and Pete Buttigieg dropping out of the race and both endorsing Biden certainly didn't hurt.

The Washington Post says,  "All of a sudden, Sanders’s 2020 looks a lot like his 2016," which in my mind was a primary with Hillary Clinton that was hijacked by then DNC head, but now disgraced Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Many think Bernie could have beat Donald Trump then, and we wouldn't have been exposed to the Oval Office lunatics corruption for four years. The general consensus today is that Joe Biden is best fitted to win in November.

Here's the scenario from the WP with two approaches...
"In one narrative, Sanders picked up where he left off four years ago, coming into the 2020 contest retaining the core base of support he had built in that nomination fight. He rolled up three wins in Iowa, New Hampshire and Nevada — better than he did in 2016 — and seemed for a while to be in contention in South Carolina, a state he lost by 50 points then."
The assessment is after the California count, the Bern will "likely to be at or near the top of the delegate count."

Bernie Sander talks about Super Tuesday results and his "unique" campaign...

The second...
"Sanders’s presidential campaign starts with a tie in Iowa and an easy New Hampshire win — just as happened in 2016. He won the Nevada caucuses in which he came short four years ago but lost South Carolina by a similar margin. On Super Tuesday, his primary competitor, former vice president Joe Biden, ran the table in the South, winning a straight line of states from Texas to Virginia. He also picked up states that seemed within Sanders’s grasp, including Minnesota and Massachusetts."
Here is a list of upcoming Democratic primaries following Super Tuesday. As you can see there are several with sizeable number of delegates: Michigan, 125; Florida, 219; Illinois, 155; Ohio, 136; Georgia, 105; New York, 224; Pennsylvania, 153; and New Jersey, 107. We'll keep you posted on these in the future, but in the meantime Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden will be going head-to-head to get ready for Florida on March 17.

QUESTION: How do Republicans win elections?

ANSWER: They do it by closing voting sites in Democratic neighborhoods.

Here's a recent RawStory headline: "‘Voter suppression, plain and simple’: Texas closed hundreds of polling sites in black and Latino areas." Texas has closed 750 polling locations since 2012, with polling places of one for every 7,700 residents today. Up from 4,000 in 2012. These are the facts...
"The 50 counties that saw the highest growth in black and Latino population had 542 polling sites close between 2012 and 2018, while the 50 counties with the lowest black and Latino population growth saw just 34 closures. The closures came despite the population in the top 50 counties rising by 2.5 million while the 50 counties that had just 34 closures saw their population fall by 13,000."
You'll find tons more about the conniving of Texas Republicans, plus, we must assume, something that is also occurring in more states across the country. The GOP just can't do it honest. A MUST READ...

After two candidates exit race, Biden on top. What will it take to return Bernie to that position?
Bernie/Biden
Amy Klobuchar and Pete Buttigieg had to bow out of the Democratic Primary for Joe Biden to jump eight points over Bernie Sanders in national polls. That leaves Elizabeth Warren and Michael Bloomberg. Klobuchar's and Buttigieg's moves are typical party loyalty, because they both have aspiration for the future. I wish them luck but am more concerned over the present and who can beat Donald Trump in November. I believe Bernie is best suited for that.

I did a post earlier yesterday, pitting Bernie against Biden, each of which must garner votes of color to win. Biden pretty much has cinched the black vote, although Bernie may siphon off a few. Bernie seems to have locked most of the Hispanic vote from the early primaries, including yesterday in California; if they turn out in November as they did in Nevada. My gut tells me it would be easier for Bernie to attract the blacks from Biden in November, than Biden appealing to Hispanics.

You Tube coverage of Biden surge and Super Tuesday...

In the 2017 midterms, Hispanic new voters were 27% of the total, where only 18% of blacks were first time. Pew Research also says 30% of the young vote went to the polls for the first time in 2018. There is never a guarantee, but the youth vote has been soundly in the Bern's corner, and that looks likely to still be the case. As far as the female vote is concerned, both candidates are basically on the fence and will require more nurturing to convince the ladies.

There is also the question of whether this new poll makes any difference in view of Bernie Sanders' results in Super Tuesday's Primaries. Sanders is ahead in six, with the heavy delegate state, California, firmly behind him. Also, the Reuters/Ipsos poll puts the Bern 11 points ahead in the Democratic Primary. It would be helpful if Elizabeth Warren dropped out of the race and endorsed Bernie, but Warren is a Democrat and she may very well go the way of Klobuchar and Buttigieg.

However, the Socialism issue for Bernie Sanders is finally waning, as evidenced in a state you least expect, Texas. The Guardian reports, "56% of Democratic primary voters in the Lone Star state say they have a positive view of socialism while only 37% have a favourable view of capitalism. Even in this normally red state stronghold, which could reflect a blue color after Super Tuesday, the voting population has realized what the wealthy and corporate America have done to destroy the democratic process.

The Washington Post isn't sure about Bernie or Biden. Here's the scenario...
"The stampede to Joe Biden’s side among Democrats in the wake of his victory in a single primary has been remarkable to behold. What they are unlikely to say out loud is that this isn’t about Biden’s inspiring vision or compelling personality, so much as their fears that if Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) were the nominee, he’d lose to President Trump. Biden, for all his weaknesses, looks like a better bet."
As I pointed out earlier in this piece, that may not be the case. The WP alerts us to two very important factors. One, no one can comprehend every variable that is involved in this election. And two, who knows what might happen down the road? There are over eight months left until November. Biden, a terrible campaigner, according to the Post, and in 2020, "even worse than in his disastrous runs in 1988 and 2008." Not good news when running against Donald Trump.

Another insight by WP...
"Yes, he’s [Joe Biden] getting support from African American voters — so far, anyway — but they already vote at relatively high rates, comparable to white voters. The big untapped potential for Democrats lies in young people and Latinos, neither of whom seems particularly jazzed about a Biden nomination."
Like I said, plenty of time before November. Just hang in there Progressives.

What's next for Bernie Sanders?...

The smile on Bernie's face is because he was able to raise over $45 million in February. He did it with 2.2 million donations which, "surpassed what any Democratic candidate had raised in any full three-month quarter last year." Is it good enough? It will be if he can garner the vote of color, reports The Guardian. With Amy Klobuchar and Pete Buttigieg both out of the race and endorsing Joe Biden, Tom Steyer out with no endorsement yet, here's the scenario...
"The first four contests of the Democratic nomination have concluded, and it’s clear that whoever wins the nomination will owe their success to the love and support of people of color."
With Bernie versus Biden from the first four primaries, it shows...
Sanders [in Nevada] leading among white voters (31% to 18%) but running away with the contest among Latinos, who made up 17 % of all voters. Among that critical demographic, Sanders beat his opponents by at least a 3 to 1 margin (51% to 13% according to the entrance polls).
Blacks did the same for Biden in So. Carolina...
"where African Americans comprise the majority of all Democratic voters, exit polls showed that African Americans gave 61% of their votes to the vice president of America’s first black president, propelling him to a nearly 30-point victory."
Joe Biden "denied there was an organized effort around the dropouts," but it was reported that Buttigieg met with Jimmy Carter the day before his decision. Like a good Democrat, Klobuchar followed suit and made her exit. Surprising Warren hasn't yet done the same since she performed like a good Dem in 2016 by not endorsing Bernie Sanders when it was clear even then she was in his Progressive camp. Of course, there is still time.

Here's CNN take on Super Tuesday...

Super Tuesday (today) stacks up on Nate Silver's 538 revealing Bernie Sanders ahead in nine out of the fifteen primaries, some the Bern leads in substantially, with California 91% to 7%, yielding Sanders total primary delegates of 540 to Biden's 395. Bloomberg and Warren are insignificant. The latest Univision poll of March 2, shows "42 percent of Hispanic voters in California intend to vote for Sanders, while 15 percent favor former Vice President Joe Biden."

Is the left targeting the Hispanic vote?...

USA today says Hispanics flocked to the Bern in Nevada, and in their latest March 1, poll...
Sanders was at 35% among likely Democratic primary voters, well ahead of former New York mayor Mike Bloomberg at 16%, former vice president Joe Biden at 14% and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren at 12%.
Have Latinos finally awakened to the fact that going to the polls doesn't guarantee them a trip back to their country of origin? Or are they just so pissed at Donald Trump they have finally decided to turn on him and help the left vote him out of office? They are both possibilities, but the end result is their showing up at the polls in November, and it looks like they finally will. Welcome to the USA!

Donald Trump evokes racism, again, to cloak coronavirus incompetence...

See the source image

It cannot be said better than this...
"Trump's ignorance and hostility to science makes situation worse — so he turns to an old standby: race-baiting"
Donald Trump could care less about the American public; all he cares about is containing the coronavirus epidemic in order to prevent any damage it might cause to his reelection in November. The man is ruthless and completely without morals so the CV deaths so far in the U.S. don't even phase him. Here's the scenario...
"His utter lack of concern for the health and safety of Americans, including his own supporters, is unsurprising — after daily exposure to the man for years, we should know by now that he lacks normal human feelings such as empathy or concern for others. Indeed, the administration's response to the threat of this virus spreading in the U.S. has been focused mainly, if not solely, on propaganda — seeking to create the illusion that things are under control, instead of doing the hard work of actually trying to get things under control."
So where does he turn? To the immigration issue, where it all started before the 2016 election, when he called immigrants rapists and murderers. Meanwhile, the people of this country are dying.   READ MORE...

Complete disarray as Donald Trump continues to bungle the coronavirus outbreak...

The Oval Office lunatic cannot realize, or if he can, which is most likely, that he and only he is responsible if the coronavirus goes out of control in the United States.

It is Donald Trump's administration that early on fired the pandemic response team in 2018...place the incompetent V.P. Mike Pence in charge of the coronavirus program...His US health department sent unprepared workers to assist Americans evacuated from China...and dating all the way back to 2017, Trump's intelligence team knew about the potential effects of coronavirus in the U.S., but were afraid to tell T-rump because they felt it might upset him. Unconscionable and all preventable.

Further, he is blaming it on the Democrats rather than the complete "bungling" of the problem by his administration. Trump's Twitter comment...
“Low Ratings Fake News MSDNC (Comcast) & @CNN are doing everything possible to make the Caronavirus (sic) look as bad as possible, including panicking markets, if possible. Likewise, their incompetent Do Nothing Democrat comrades are all talk, no action. USA in great shape!”
Should be a permanent addition
This idiot can't even spell the name of perhaps the biggest potential health threat the United States and the world have seen in years...READ MORE...

CDC urgent on spread of coronavirus... The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is putting out the word for all Americans to be prepared for the possible escalation of the Coronavirus outbreak. This goes hand-in-hand with Donald Trump's continued tweeting that downplays the disease, while trying to lay the blame for all this on the Democrats and the media. No longer trying to prevent the virus from entering the country...
“The data over the past week about the spread in other countries has raised our level of concern and expectation that we are going to have community spread here,” Dr. Nancy Messonnier, the CDC’s head of respiratory diseases, told reporters on a conference call.
What is not known, she said, is when it will arrive and how severe a U.S. outbreak might be. “Disruption to everyday life might be severe” and businesses, schools and families should begin having discussions about the possible impact from the spread of the virus, Messonnier cautioned.
San Francisco has declared a medical emergency in preparedness, even though they don't yet have any cases. "Although the World Health Organization says the epidemic has peaked in China, coronavirus cases have surfaced in about 30 other countries, with some three dozen deaths reported." With the recent U.S. death in Seattle, a man, not a woman as T-rump reported, it isn't time for tweeting, it is time for action...READ MORE...

Trump's "Deep State" hit list...

Trump's MAGA morons still blaming the left's deep state...You know the term: "A deep state (from Turkish: derin devlet), also known as a state within a state, is a form of clandestine government made up of hidden or covert networks of power operating independently of a state's political leadership, in pursuit of their own agenda and goals,"according to Wikipedia. In this case it refers to underground Democrats bent on destroying Donald Trump. Yeah, sure.

Here's the scenario...
As POLITICO’s Ben Shreckinger and Alice Miranda point out, the “evidence” for the theory centers around the fact that an official from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention who’s been making public statements on the virus is the sister of Rod Rosenstein, the former deputy attorney general who oversaw the Mueller probe — and who some say suggested removing Trump from office. Now, Dr. Nancy Messonnier’s connection to Rosenstein is even being seized on by right-wing radio host Rush Limbaugh and Jim Hoft, who is the publisher of the pro-Trump site Gateway Pundit.
"Shreckinger and Miranda [also] mention that there’s no evidence that federal health authorities are overstating the threat of coronavirus in an effort to undermine Trump."...READ MORE...

Typical Donald Trump headline: "Top expert on viral infections must get Pence’s approval before issuing statements." This as almost as ludicrous as the Oval Office lunatic putting Pence in charge of the coronavirus issue in the first place. I posted on Pence's irresponsible handling of the HIV outbreak as Indiana's governor, and a statement he had made earlier that smoking does not kill. The man is a certified idiot and as Bernie Sanders said, will probably try to pray himself out of the coronavirus dilemma.

George Orwell's totalitarian novel, "1984," has been used repeatedly to describe Donald Trump's administration, and the following statement is continuing proof that the White House maniac is truly a tyrant...
"The New York Times reports that Dr. Anthony Fauci, who serves as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, has “told associates that the White House had instructed him not to say anything else without clearance” about the disease."
Fortunately, Fauci, alone, is smarter than the entire Trump administration, thus, we can probably expect leaks to benefit the American public when this becomes necessary.

If your memory of history is as bad as mine, you also do not remember the 1918 flu pandemic that killed millions. It was a new strain of influenza that "hit military camps in Europe on both sides of World War I." It took Spain to finally report the disease accurately so that its crucial nature was realized. Months later a bigger, deadlier wave swept across the globe. So how does that parallel today's dilemma?...
“They [the Trump administration] are clearly trying to put the best possible gloss on things, and are trying to control information,” said John M. Barry, author of “The Great Influenza: The Epic Story of the Deadliest Plague in History.”
Now, this is beyond frightening. I don't mean to be alarming because this is the last thing we must do in a situation where a Donald Trump is in charge of the U.S. Government. And Moscow Mitch is in control of the Senate. Donald dufus could not handle a panic across this country, so we must be guarded in how re report the problem. And a problem it is. Here's the latest in Kirkland, WA, where the first U.S. death occurred...
"approximately 27 of the 108 residents and 25 of the 180 staff have some symptoms, health officials said during a teleconference with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Authorities report that some among them have pneumonia."
So, the motto today is don't panic, but do practice prevention... READ MORE...
